I don't use in flight low batt alarm, I use timer.

If your charger shows how much maH/energy put back during charge, you can estimate your flying time. The rule of thumb for lipo is never discharged more than 80% of its rated capacity and never allow any cell go below 3V underload.

JD, not a big deal but for what its worth here is an AE with alloy frame, here is the SE which you obviously know, and here is the Trex 450 "S" with alloy frame and plastic main and tail. Both models of CopterX comes in V1 and V2.

Sorry for off topic guys

E_heli,

You made a good point before: "But once you past the beginner's crashing stage, these helis are wonderful."

I SO AGREE!!

You know, at the start I was easily convinced that the 22E was a *crap* helicopter. I blamed my novice experience on the poor helicopter when really the 22E is not crap but just a bit touchy. It's such a light small helicopter and you just cannot expect any relaxed, sluggish movements from it. Flying the 22E will improve your fine-motor skills and reaction times!!

I'm yet to see how the Belt CP goes - my spare parts should be here by the weekend (hopefully).

Tom

consultjdm... here are the specs of the spektrum digital servo...
model: DSP75 programmable digital sub-micro servo
type : Digital Programmable
Torque: 19 oz/in @ 4.8 volts
Speed : .11 sec/60 deg @4.8 volts
Dimensions : .90x .45x .94 (23x12x24MM)
weight : .26 oz (7.5g)
voltage range 4.8v - 6.0V
motor type : coreless
connector type : universal

My first choice would have been the original, but I can't wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.2nd choice was e-flite servo, but he didn't have any.. this was the closest I could find.. Working well so far, have about 10 packs thru it and no difference in flight performance.. I understand what you are saying, but shoot me for saying this, ( it was a chance I was willing to take)
Flew again this morning and I was very happy with overall flight.. I stopped after the 2nd battery because the motor was getting a little hot..I got the new motor yesterday from china as well as a new canopy and aluminum head... I still can't believe how fast it showed up.. I ordered on 4/29 and arrived 5/5.. it would have arrived 5/3 but I wasn't home...LOL ordered from Hobby wing..Hooby is the same company...

Cenracer,

Thanks,

its great when it works and I am glad it is working for you. I think you know my comments were more about warning people of just buying stuff that they weren't sure worked with their heli. It could frustrate them to tears.

Oh I agree 100%.. like I said, If I could, I would have the original ones in there, but I couldn't wait for them to show up... So far, so good.. just got the rest of my overseas order in today.. a few more CF look blades.. I don't know whats going on over there in china, but the last two orders took less than 1 week... I am waiting for some r/c car parts from Texas, over 10 days now.. go figure...

I have the metal head for some time, the plastic head works so well that I didn't bother to use it, not 100% +ve feedback from other users. I dinged one pair of the fake carbon blades that came with the metal head already.
