It might hurt it, or it might not. It could depend on how accurate the 19v label is. Some transformers will actually put out more or less than the voltage on the label. So, if it's putting out 18.5v you're probably all set. If it's putting out 20.5v, it might be risky. If you don't have a multi-meter to test the voltage, it's something you should invest in. You can get cheap ones for 15 bucks that'll work fine. You can test the transformer outputs, and also the battery to see if it really has a full charge. Aside from the voltage on the transformer, you need to know the current. It should say something like 19V 1.5A (or 1500ma). My guess is that you'll need at least 1.5 amps to run the charger properly. Having a higher amp rating is fine. But, if it's too low, even though the voltage it right, it won't charge the battery all the way (or at all).
