Just a little something guys
Real flight 4 takes up 2.4GB on your hard drive.
Cheers

Dash... practicing hovering in idle up won't really make that much of a difference.. I tried it once, all you are controlling is pitch.. BUT, if your skills arent up to the task, you risk alot more than a broken blade.. Consider the consequences of crashing at full motor speed... Broken blades, bent shaft, broken head parts, stripped gears, most likely burned out motor and electronics etc.. remember, the motor wont shut off till you flip the right switch back down.. IMO until you are good enough stick with the controlled throttle..
When you are ready for more advanced flying, then use idle-up... especially 3D

cenracer1 raises good points. I wouldn't consider idle up until you are competent at ff. there is no advantage to be gained at hover level. keep up the good work, advance to controlled forward flight then think about idle up. If you want to flip or roll it can be done out of ilde up. sure it is best in but dont be scared out of.

hey guys , i replaced a swollen battery and back in the air i go. however, after adjusting my pitch i get off the ground and the heli starts spinning hard to the left. I think the pitch is to much that the tail can't keep up with the blades. Is there any other causes of this problem?

if your helis spinning hard left I would check your tail motor. I'm no expert by anymeans, but I would just assume your tail motor was going if the spinning issue just started.

-did you try using a blinky balancer to discharge your battery a bit?
my friend had lipo blow up like a balloon because he overcharged it. after 20 min on the blinky it was fine... might save you $20 nexst time.

btw. This forum is flippin awsome.
I don't think there's any issue that hasn't or couldn't be covered/solved for the 22e on this forum, and I'm very thankful for it.
so...cheers!

like DASh C said,

make sure those tail motor wires are soldered on good. Otherwise new tail motor probably.

swollen batteryies usually lose power also. another sign they are done.

be very careful with swollen batteries. I have some that always are a bit swollen but work normal. So I think it depends on the make of the battery and what they put inbetween the cells. But a fully charged battery should not spin the heli. Although you have to start off with less tail trim and keep adding right trim as you burn through the battery.

I would always charge these lipo batteries on something like fireplace bricks or tile and in a place where your close by. Of course best are those fireproof boxes.

Oh, my fireplace has those phony logs so no ashes or anything and so I can put mine behind the fireplace screen on the bricks inside the fireplace.

HI Phil, Smokey here,

I've just received my 22E, and straight away plunged into putting on the metal head assembly that I had for it. Now I am not sure if I have got the thing together properly. Bit stupid I know - but the flybar seems to be able to move from side to side (up and down) somewhat, not sure if that is normal? I carefully noted how the parts fitted on the old head, and replaced it with the new bits, piece by piece. Is there some diagram of how it should look? As I said the flybar seems to be able to move and it looks like it could change the pitch - this may be normal for all I know.
If you have any info about the set up and upgrade, I would be eternally grateful
Cheers!
