There are quite a few people here and elsewhere who privately sell their Hitec equipment. Some used and some claimed to be brand new or "new in box".

Does Hitec honor any warranty on these sales? If so, I would guess that it would be from the original date of purchase from an authorized reseller. So should we be asking for a copy of the original sales receipt when we make a private party purchase?

Status: offline 		Hitec warranty is 2-years on all products requardless of how many owners they have had. A receipt is always nice to have but is not required for a warranty claim but it does help in questionalble situations.

I think you will find that Hitec service is the best of the best. Do a search on it and see what people have said.

I just wanted to say thanks and that I agree about Hitec service. I've owned a Focus 4 for over 5 years and recently upgraded to an Eclipse 7. I'm a very happy Hitec customer.
