I am buying a TAO3-R from someone, but I can't seem to find any info on a *R* version. I heard of a special edition, but not a *R* edition. Also, if it is actually true, how much is is normally?

Here is the deal:

-TA03R belt drive 4wd chassis with an awesome Nissan R390 GTI body. Tires are a bit worn. Some scratches on the bottom of the chassis. Needs an ESC to run. Tha chassis is stock with no mods except for front/rear stabilizer bars. Body with very nice paintjob with few minor scratches and a little damage on the front left fender. Futaba radio with servos and reciever installed. Many spare parts. See picture. -MRC MT-10S 2wd stadium truck with ford truck body painted black with some stickers. Futaba radio and servos and reciever installed. No mods. Very good condition. -Hobbico AC/DC 900 charger. Works and looks like new. -3 batteries. two 1400 piranha batteries and one brand new 1500 sanyo battery. Can not sell items separately. The price is for every item you see here together. View pictures at www.81x.com/plv/PLV

All that for $100, is that a good deal?
Thanks a lot. - Zack

A lot of TA03's are R-"edition". But most of them are F-"edition".
R = rear motor.
F = front motor.
Simple

Then there's the S. = Short wheel base. 20mm shorter.
You get TA03R-S and TA03F-S.

Which adds up to four different versions of the TA03.
But then there's the TA03R-PRO. And there's even a TRF-edition of each of the four versions aswell... Umm, that'll be nine different TA03's. Hope this helps
