Hi all,

I have a question in regard to my ailerons on my Yellow P-47. I have the new balanced ones and have recessed the hinge point where they tell you too behind the leading edge. Not the nicest hinge hiding cutouts but you need for the clearance. My question is in regard to the aileron horn mount and how they want you to drill into the aileron and taper a dowel in it from the leading edge to the trailing edge. Can anyone give me some points on this?? Can you achieve this any other way?? There is a piece of balsa in place now where the horn goes. Can I drill that out and run a dowel from top to bottom epoxied in place?? Let me know what you think!!!!

Thanks,

Steve
