OK Roachie, glad ya made it home, and heli time begins. Have lots of fun, and stay out of the furniture and bushes if possible. Those are my 2 favorite things to attack lately for some reason. Give us a progress report later. Dennis

Guildgtar,

I agree with Nitro, get that tail under control, That may not mean perfect but close to perfect. Although, I have had heli's that have a lot of ground spin and as soon as u lift up an inch it stops. but until you lift up an inch, you have to hold the stick way over to the left. Then you can release it to center as soon as you lift up an inch. But if it is not holding once you lift; land. I crash every time, almost, when my tail goes out of control and I'm up a couple feet. A few inches and I can get it back down without damage.

Best of Luck

JD

ok, well i figured i could try in go full throttle and see how high i can go. and it only goes about 3-4ft high and bounces around in that area. how can i add more pitch to the blades so it can go higher. oh ya, and how hot do ur batteries get when ur done flyin. is 5-8 mins a good fly time.

guildgtar,

If your blades are good, and yoru linkage is good and the screws are all tight, then mess with the plt and pit knobs, you should be able to go up a lot.

8 min is good, any longer and you start to burn your motor up. I think.

damn, I burned up another motor on my NR3D.

I put in a Walkera motor and will check it out later when Its sunny and not raining.

But I have another problem someone might be able to help me with.

I lost the two pins that are the anti rotation pins that go in the aluminum head block. Does anybody know what size they are. I could go to my LHS and get piano wire and make pins maybe.

Anybody know the walkera part number for the pins?

I beleive the pin only come tith the head block. I wonder if the pin that holds the Blade CP head to the shaft is the same size, there only $1.99 for 6 of them... They look about the same size.

Dennis,

My LHS is a Hobbypeople and they don't carry the blade CP. Monday I could go to the one near my work and they carry the blade and parts. That may be a great Idea. Cause I can bring in the heli and test it. you know what they say, size matters. If they have both The blade and the nr parts then I could compare them on the spot. I think I told you my local store next to work carries the NR3D and all its parts.

I was hoping to get piano wire tomorrow. I would like to have his running real nice when he comes home Monday.

Dennis do you have a internet camera?

It seems like we should all get together on yahoo and turn on our cams and fly our heli's in the living room. I think that would be funn.

Hey guys.
Was reading this post all day and fixing and tuning my VNR3D.
I just want to say THANKS VERY MUCH for all the great info....It was a great help as I
was in the same boat this morning. I bought my 3D yesterday and waited till this morning to
fly it . I was very disapointed when I spooled her up and WHAM she was off like a rocket just as you fellas experienced previously. After spending around 100 buck on new parts, I came back to my shop to fix it and jumped on the net to look for a good thread and hear it was .
It took me all day of testing and charging but she flys like a dream now but still not as solid as my 30 size shuttle.

Anyway thanks again too all who asked the questions for me and of course the people who answered them.

Mike
