Did u guyz get the motor roblem under control yet?? i think u should try brushless i was thinking about getting something like a cd player motor or something like that i havent figured it out yet also a belt driven tail would work 2 but if u would even think of that i would buy a t-rex base kit instead or something equivalent.Wish u guyz luck

Shrike....that looks awesome

but of course we will need details now you've shown us!!!!!!

being a brushless tail I guess it needs an ESC of its own.......so do you use separates....etc etc etc

Why not just use a VNR3D 4 in 1 and TX. Rock solid tail every time !!! Oh, this is the NR3D thread. LOL Your tail should be fine. Mine is as stable as my Chevy pickup. I can't imagine it being any better.

Yes, I went separates. I added my build out / story at bladecprepair.com Seems I spend most of my time repairing and modifying. More info and pictures are at the end of this thread.

http://bladecprepair.com/smf/index.php?topic=69.0

This tail motor still needs to be lightened and doesn’t need any where near the power available.
I will continue to develop and post there as time permits. I consider myself fairly new at this…and YES…… it is addictive

Thanks for the encouragement!

Nitro,

Im tired, been building my new TREX all night.

Not sure, it the Walkera or NR3D is worth more than a brushless upgrade. There are a lot of parts to convert to belt drive or something like it.

MCRcshrike

What combo of motor and esc did you get? The size looks nice. What pinion too. Did it still match up to the Tail rotor gear?

Was It just buy the parts and stick em on? How did you hook up the Tail rotor ESC?

Thanks

Lacey learned on one 3 years ago, and she still has and flies it alot. She said it the best choice for my next heli. She has a T Rex, and she says it always broke. She said the Corona is very tough and dependable, and it wouls be around 450.00 for everything. Thats good enough for me...

I just started flying my VNR3D again as I wait for my BCP 4 in 1 unit, and all of a sudden, I had to reset my PIT/PZT and my PLT. It didn't want to take off like it use to. I was set at about 2 an 10, but now it seems to like 12 and 12. Something changed, but I don't know what. Guess i'll see if the head block slipped.

Denis, I was flying at 11 and 11 today.

As long as I have good lift and no hop I just leave it. I think I was on the verge of hop though. or just sensitive. but it was okay. I flew about 10 minutes or so and quit and put more oil on it. I didnt want to burn another motor in one battery charge.

Then I never made it back out because I started building my new TREX. I finished the head assy. Tomorrow the frame.

I need to get a RX and Crystal for it tomorrow. There goes another $100.00. Oh and some training gear. I think I need 3 new sets.

Good night.

May you have long flights and soft landings.
