I *never* said it sucks... just that this design it's not original

HPI *did* the TVP, didn't? And I love it, maybe it isn't as easy as Maxx on wrenching but is a lot tougher.

Your statement on forward only tranny is just misinformation. A LOT of T-Maxx owners remove reverse for less weight, more acceleration and to eliminate problems with clutch engaging.

This "mine is better than yours" discussion just leads us to nowhere. We have to look clearly to the facts and analyze it smartly.

After weeks of serious research I picked up a Savage, and will buy a T-Maxx too, after I finish building my next airplane.

Maxx is better on some things, Savage is better in others. Both are very good trucks. Period.

Answering to you question, both out of the box, Savage handles much better. The suspension looks a little funny, but is awesome, lots of dampening and very quick response to terrain roughness.

It also jumps a lot better than T-Maxx.

i will agree with you on the jumping, but thats it(i also don't want a i mine is better than yours conversation like i had with some other idiot) i think that handling is good on both trucks but by simply adjusting the maxx's shocks you make it have less role (like the savage) i do not think though, that the tvp is a stronger design. and its not that original, look at the tamiya mt's.(and others aswell).
i enjoyed our conversation good luck on your maxx

Bubbafien: I'm sorry that exists out there people like you, that when out of arguments, start calling other people "idiots", just because they don't think like you. I think I was talking to someone reasonable, but I was really wrong about you. Don't waste your time responding to this, as in the future I will not say a word to you anymore. I prefer to talk with smart people.

Gizmo100199: You sold a $400 truck for $150, just because a simple part broke? And a speed jump on 1st run? Have you heard about break-in sometime? I'm pretty happy with my junk (as you called it), doing a lot of speed jumps of 10+ feet high with NO breakage at all. What part do you broke?

CaseyDDR:Someone said that *Savage* is a copy of T-Maxx too... after that, all nonsense is welcome
Originally posted by Anything R/C
Its true that the X factor have the 4 link like a real MT. But if you see it in person, it really doesn't look like its a good climber. I played with one with my friend. I have a savage, he has the x. My savage has a 7 inch travel on the suspension, the X only has maybe 5. After 5 inches, the opposite wheel starts to leave the ground too. If you want to climb rocks, you want as many wheels on the ground as you can. The 4 links works well on the real MT because it hardly climbs over uneven rocks.
The txt-1 has about 12inches of travel stock, the kind of travel where you lift one wheel off the ground and measure it at the point where the next wheel is about to come up. and the Xs' suspension is pretty much the same. The swaybars on the x-factor are probably too stiff. I will get mine this summer and play around with the suspension settings and see what it can do. I got a small coffe can, about 6 inches, of travel out of my monster pirate, it had no more than 3inches when i first got it.

I own both a savage and a t-maxx. The savage is the better truck. It is better for bashing and racing. I have a hyper 21 8 port in my savage and love it. The t-maxx is a great truck though and with a sirio .18 it would also be awesome, but i would rather put money in my sav because it has more potential.
