and the Maxx is a 1/10 with what they consider a small block .18 or known as a 2.5. [/QUOTE]

it is called the 2.5 because it is 2.5cc's and a .15 because it is a .15 cubic inch. dog.

and i apperantly did do my homework because i am right on the speed and you had it totally backwards.

i didn't jump you and do you suggest i slow my roll with a savage?

well bubba what can i say but thanks for the warm welcome to this forum im glad to know the qaulity of people on this forum. I will and do continue to stand by my statement. I got my facts from traxxas, And what i am suggesting is that you get off my back I made no attempt to insult your statement but yet you felt it neccessary to do it to mine. Its quite simply a matter of opinion minus the engine size. Im not here to have a tremndous debate about it, but im still not going to have you sit here and tell me im wrong I will be sure to do what I can to get you the information that I recevied and I respectfully request that you do the same. And so that its clear to you I suggested you slow your roll not your truck, I am simply refering to that fact that you want to say what i have to add is nonsense.

i was never on his but just stating the facts so everbody does not get confused the ones or one who wanted to know this stuff. he said a completely unwrong statement that amde no sense so i pointed it out. in stock form the maxx has a top speed of 45 and the savage 31. so their is no way the savage has a better top end. and the 2.5 is a .15 which he said is a .18. all i did was point it out and i did not insult him!

I hate to get into this but.... at the lhs where I work we sell 70/30 tmaxx/savage I've seen 3 tmaxx owners switch to savaged and one savage guy switch to a maxx, so it's even there. we sell a lot of maxx bulkheads, a arms and, ocasinaly, fuel tanks. Savage heavy duty dog bones sell like they're going out of style. There are 2 local tracks that have mt races, one is domminated by savages the other by maxxes. Personaly I like the maxx because it matches my driving style, mostly speed and cornering related with only a few monster jumps. I have however had the truck 15 feet in the air and is was sticking the landings(slight bottoming out, no harsh rebound). The older style suspention on teh tmaxx is more simmilar to the savage. My emaxx is equiped with the older narow suspention and it soaks up jumps much like a savage.
When people ask me what to get I ask them if they want to race and where. if they say yes it depends on the track they want to run on. I fhey say no I ask them if they plan to regularly have the truck more than 4 feet in the air. If they answer yes then I recomend a savage, if they say no then a tmaxx.

I run a small track from my house for our rc club. there are mostly t maxxs but a couple of savages. the savage is as fast out of the hole shot as a stock maxx and the mid is awesome , it just needs a 3rd gear to get top end but savages do good through the straight on our track but its only about 70 feet long but the maxx is faster it pulls the savage a truck length or two. but either truck is good . so on a tight track the savage can hang in there because it does not have a high top speed but it has good torque but on a track with big straights that a maxx can wind on the savage is toast . im looking forward to seeing the new ss savage . .25 engine and 40 plus top speed.
