Anything that is smooth with lots of wing area and a great glide slope with great stability. The Debonaire seems to be a floater.

I use a Debonair with the RNAF wing, no dihedral, with an OS 46 LA for aerial video. With the RNAF wing its definitely a floater.

A pusher engine Canard as a photo platform will keep the exhaust out of the camera. Unfortunately mine uses an OS .46 FX engine.

You might take a look at the Coro cub on the Spadworld web site. It's a great flying plane for a .40.

I bought a 20 buck vivitar camera from wal-mart so that if I destroy it i'm not out much. I crashed by coro cub and have not rebuilt it yet so I haven't done a trigger yet. I am planning on just using a servo on the l/g channel. I am going to use an external battery source on the USB cable....the camera won't shut off on it's own with usb power.

RNAF is a flat bottom wing.
It uses 4mil on the bottom, with the flutes span wise, the top is 2mil flutes cord wise.
With a single spar made from yardsticks.
One of the best coro wing designs out there.

I have been thinking of making a spad camera ship also but the oil issue was a concern.

I hadn’t considered a pusher. My answer was a twin with a center pod like a P38 or OV10. I think I will consider the pusher idea as there would be only one engine.

How are you guys dampening vibration? I have some friends trying to shoot video on balsa models but the vibration is to much.

The royal thai airforce used a single pusher trainer made from a bronco with an air research stuck in the cargo bay. Skymasters were also converted to single pushers with a 750 hp pusher turbo. Almost double the power with a 2+ meter nose ext. It no longer looks liks VW bus with props and wings but very sleek. Not everyone likes VW buses. Anyway both have ample noses where lots of gear could fit with vibe isolation and protection.

Hi mister Pa-18,
I was just looking around on some Ruskie sites and saw what would be a very interesting and suitable candidate. The yak-58. Low hershey bar wing with rear engine, nice naca type cowl, twin boom, high tail and an ample 6 pass gondola, as they call it. 3view at www.yak.ru/PIC/VIEWS/58.gif. Looks quite spadable. It has the good old 9cyl radial that all the little yaks use. It reminds one of the Adam500? All Russian aircraft are built to take a beating, Yak-58 does not appear to be an exception.
