Ken, I think Jake mentioned before you needed to duct tape the bottom of the chassis on 1/10th RCs to keep them from snagging the carpet. Just in case you didn't know that.

You've gotta be kidding me... There are like a million companies that make diff fluid, and they have NONE? A place as big as Larrys, i'd think would have loads of that stuff. DB's has diff fluid for ya, but i dont know about the stock on those aluminum diff cases. They may have them in. Might be worth a try. If not, i'll have em order some. I need em for my muggy too. I'll have Bill get em this week.

Ken, for Larry's be there at 10am ready, sign up is at 10:45 or 11.

30wt oil (kit stock), Silver front springs, Yellow rears. Rear shocks move the tops out, front move the tops in. 1* camber all around. I'm toed in slightly, not much...might change to 0 toe today.

Honestly Larry's lacks in some areas. Diff fluids has ALWAYS been bad with them. Shock oil used to be rediculous, its gotten better slowly though.

Doing the heat-cycling on the Muggy today... I was going to sell it as new and get the 8ight T, but I don't think I'm that competitive yet!

So the first of 5 runs is done... I hope I can get it all done today so I'll be up and running with this thing!

Bad day at Larry's. Had an unknown spektrum issue, but I think it was the Tamiya controller, so went and bought a stock brushless set up...then BOOM smoke after I got the ESC wired and set up. Heck on of the fast guys checked it before we turned it on. So thats being sent back to Novak...argh.

Mini I got frustrated, drove too hard and SMASH broke an arm. After that I called it a day.

DANG! That's too bad Jake.

I got out the E-Maxx and ran some wheelies back and forth across the caldesac for awhile. The yard was too mushy to run on.

NICE, The 8ight-T looks sick.

I just finished the first 5 runs on my Muggy Break-in... 3 more tomorrow afternoon when it warms up again and I'll be up and running.

What engine is the TL.28?? I've never heard of TL... I'm a relative noob to the nitro scene though.

Well, overall, I had a good time, and had OODLES of power LOL. Drove like crap all day until the 3rd qual, then I started to get the feel for the truck although it is not dialed by any means. I fought it pretty hard all day. In the end, I broke about 45 seconds into the main due to a loose servo horn DOH!!! I looked at it before the race and thought I saw too much of the spline sticking out the back of the horn. Apparently I should have gone with my guy feeling and tightened the screw. O Well. I need to do a lot more tuning and toning the mamba down to be able to drive clean. Although it WAS fun jumping almost 1/2 of the straight when I felt like having some fun while chasing guys around. Then I was doing wheelies after the first turn and trying to get it to settle down for the immediate second turn.

Thanks Hunter.

The TL refers to the Werks Team Line .28 Competition Engine. I have done a lot of research and it seems this engine is sick! I've also been looking at the .21 version of this engine as well - in case the .28 is too much.

not that i should be telling you this but, that 8t needs an onroad .12. a .28 is way too much. lol my 8 almost wheelie everytime i get on it. you'll like it either way. if you don't like alot of punch you better go with the .21. And make sure you shim the throttle servo so it's not touching the chassis. i've blown 5-6 throttle servos. 3 yesterday in astabula, ohio

Gotcha-

I'm working on a deal for a 21 right now. Take a look at the insert that was in your box for the correct throttle shim.

Well the weather is gettin here fellas. Hunter, good to hear ya started break-in on that Muggy. You'll need SOMETHING nitro to race with us. lol. Jake, sounds like you just had a rough day. Hopefully we can have some good racing this summer. Ade got the 8T too eh? Im still unsure of what motor i want in mine. I'd like to put the OS .28 in it, but thats been pushed back. Im leaning towards a V-spec now.

Ametek, good to hear ya got that situation worked out. Will you be racing the LST with us this summer?

Yeah-

Had mine on pre-order for a while, I was really glad to see it show up. Got it for an awesome price too. I was not happy with the driveability of my Jammin CRT. I hope this one lives up to my expectations.

Glad to hear the paint job went over well Ken. Tony, you didnt like the driveability of that Jammin? What aspects? I've driven a few of em, and for the most part, thought they were good. I think they could use a little more steering though. Al Horne let me wheel his around for a while at DB's. Man, it was dialed. Still had a slight push in the corners, but it was dialed. Hopefully the TL is way better, and works out for ya. Im excited to get mine out on the track this summer.
