He had it on ebay a few weeks back and it didn't meet the reserve. It's too bad he is getting out now with summer racing just around the corner.

The Jammin "to me" was just not easy to drive. It was like I had to fight it around the track. I had a nasty push and I really was not impressed with how it jumped. I tried shock oil, diff fluid, shocks, tires, set up stations....all kinds of stuff. I'm hoping I dont have the same problems with the 8T. I'm really liking the build quality so far! My engine and some other goodies shipped today!

Glad to hear the paint job went over well Ken. Tony, you didnt like the driveability of that Jammin? What aspects? I've driven a few of em, and for the most part, thought they were good. I think they could use a little more steering though. Al Horne let me wheel his around for a while at DB's. Man, it was dialed. Still had a slight push in the corners, but it was dialed. Hopefully the TL is way better, and works out for ya. Im excited to get mine out on the track this summer.

8t turns on the drop of a dime. it doesn't push at all. and for the books it turns, handle, steer, and jump better than the crt. not to down the crt cause thats still a hell of truck but TL did it big this time around.

Bro-

I cant wait to run it. The videos I've seen it looks really good. The wife is scheduled for some classes (work) for the next couple of weekends, so I'll have the baby - but I'll be out to play as soon as I can! LOL

How about the weather today? NICE!!!! Good to hear all the positive things about the 8T kidd. And a note for anyone wanting paint. Every deal i have currently, is either done, or real close to being done. I have some work comin in from LSTforums.com, and i'll be taking care of them as well. But i've put off my own stuff long enough. I have all my stuff sitting here clear, and that aint cool. lol. With the nice weather, im also gonna be slowing down on paint. So just be sure to give me an e-mail, pm, or phone call about it, especially if its a rush job. I'll also try to keep Bill at DB's updated on my turnaround times too. Just wanted to let you guys know that. As you can see in my signature, im in need of some racing. Or atleast some nitro fumes. Hahaha... Anyway, that was my public service announcement for the day. So in other news, my dang pirhana charger died on me. Well... Not necessarily DIED. But the ENTER button is not functioning properly. It'll only do the one function where you hold it down to start. And thats when i really jam on it. I cant tap the button lightly once, to change selections.... Grrrr.... Damn charger. lol. Time for a new one i guess. Though i do have my field charger here. I should test that before i hit the races.

Anyone reccomend a good AC/DC charger?

How long have you had that charger? They have a 5 year warranty now. Maybe you could send it back for repair. Even if it isn't covered under warranty I wouldn't think it would be that much to repair. I've always liked those chargers and would probably get another one if 1 of mine quit. You really can't get another charger with those features in that price range.

Yeah, beautiful weather. If we could only have it again this Sunday, Freelin would be a sure thing for me.
Now go get some of your bodies painted for yourself.

Definitely submit it to duratrax... They'll probably replace it free of charge.

I had my ICE burn up on me and all I had to do was mail it back. Brand new one came 6 days later, sealed in the box with all the accessories.

Ya, i'll get an e-mail off to Duratrax tonight, or call em tomorrow. Ken, i took it apart to see if it was a contact, or anything like that. The little button area is sealed by rubber, and real small. I'd have to at the very least, get a damn soldering iron, and the right button for it. Which im not gonna do. Not over a 45 dollar charger. I'll see if Duratrax will cover it. If i send it in, i'll buy another from Bill anyway. Having two, will leave me with a backup.

And guys, i got all the PM's. Batman, yes, i'll paint your bodies for ya. I know you were asking last year for some, and never got to it. So i'll make sure i get ya some bodies painted up.

Took the XXX to Larry's today and worked on the setup and driving (more driving than anything since Im clueless about chassis tuning) Im getting around the track MUCH better now, and was passing people more smoothly like normal. Shouldnt take too long to get me in contention running open class. We shall see. Im still going to run stock I think just to make it interesting and race more than 5 people.

Sounds like yer havin fun with that thing ken. Thats all that counts really. Even if you are running it on a rug. LOL... So anyway, man am i happy tonight. So im google searching proedge swivel blades tonight, looking for replacement blades. I came across a site that sold swivel blades, and had a new brand. So im thinking.... "great, another new brand of blade". So naturally i went to their homesite. Come to find out, their swivel blade has a ball bearing in it!!! When i read that, i was ecstatic. Man... You know how smooth lines could be with a bearing loaded swivel blade? I remember Bill telling me that some company made one many years ago, but i could never find it. So the company makes two different kinds. Not sure of the difference, but i ordered em both. Ordered some replacement blades, and they even make a weeding tool, for the vinyl cuttin guys! Ordered that too. So ya, im excited about my new little tools i found tonight. This was a really good find, considering the proedge blade i love soo much, may be discontinued. And i pretty much hate the Xacto... It just doesnt want to swivel as much as i want it to. In short, im pretty much excited over a couple 5 dollar blades. LOL

Ken, the open class the last few weeks and for sure on the April 1st Hooters thing will be huge. The weekend before last there was 3 heats of open and 3 of stock truck. Even last week there was supposed to be Mittley, Oliver, and Ciresi, and Oppie. Those guys are all top notch fast, and one of the reasons Abler went home, because he really only races carpet to battle those guys.

I doubt I'll be there this weekend though, between the Drinking days for St Pats and then the lack of a damn good ESC...might be easier to skip this week.

I was there from about 10:10 til 1:30ish.

I prolly wont be there this weekend either. But likley will make the April 1st thing. Do I have to pre register?

MAtt, even though it is on a rug, driving on a track lap after lap and perfecting lines is still a good time. Whats really fun is hearing the tires screech as the car is comming around turns 1 and 2 at high speeds!!!! I was trying to show a new guy the lines by driving slow, but no matter how slow I went, he kept trying to outdrive himself. O Well, maybe next time.

Take a look at the super brain line of chargers. I like that I can charge (2) batteries at the same time. They can even handle light lipo cells.
