Got the powerplant in for the E-Revo tonite... Matt's got the body, so as soon as he lays some paint, this thing will be coming together.

I've still got a few odd-n-ends to work out... (like the battery trays!) but I'll get to them..

So did you have to use a spoon to scoop out the diff fluid. LOL I hope the weather is better Sunday than they are saying it is going to be. I wanna get back out to the track. Hopefully with no mud.

Ok, the center diff on the 3.3 Revo now has the special formula.

1 glob of 300k
1 glob of 500k

lol. Now hopefully that shows me some sign of diff action. The 500k, was just not workin for me. The funny thing is, the 300k is still like silly putty. I can see why they come in jar style containers. If you had to squeeze this out of a bottle, you'd be screwwwed. So anyway, i'll try it tomorrow. See how it goes. Today i ran the LST2 after i painted batmans body. The suspension felt way soft. So i upped the springs on that. The truck seemed like a dog at first. I tuned it up a bit, and adjusted the slipper. Seems alot better. So the LST2 is pretty much ready to hit the track.

Brian, the diff fluid was soo thick, you can take a flat head screw driver, and swipe some out with it. Which is what i did. The revo diff does not hold alot of fluid at all.

The Mounds maybe...That's just a little north of Flint. I used to take my 4x4 S-10 out there quite a bit.
SC hey, kind of a far drive for bashing RC trucks. Oh well, worth a shot to ask.

So far I'm planning on going Sunday, weather permitting. There was only the 1 part that was muddy last time and that can be avoided. I'm not sure if it has dried out any or not. I would like to think it has some, but with the small spurts of rain we've had, you never know. I did rake it pretty good when I was there, so hopefully that helped. Bring boots and use liberal amounts of WD-40 just in case.

Hey, I got a carb question for you guys. The idle screw on the MGT (LRP engine) broke somehow causing it to stick at WOT tonight. Luckily I could still steer it and it wasn't far from me. Anyways, the parts list doesn't show the idle screw separate. It looks like this one. Is that style idle screw a common size for most big blocks that have that style screw? All my other engines have the idle screw with the external spring on them so they won't work.

I'll probly be heading to DBs tomorrow if Bill is in and I can take the LRP with me to see if they have something that will work. I have an old picco 27 and mach 427 that we can try the screws from...maybe look them up online to see if they are close.

No, I think that is the low mixture screw. I tried taking a picture, but it came out kinda blury. I think the threads are different on the Mach 427 from the picture I saw of that. I'm sure these threads are metric. Mike, does the idle screw on the Picco look similar. If I can't find anything close I'll try borrowing the carb off the AE 4.6 stock engine.

Edit: Actually that one you posted is the high speed needle after looking further

Well-

The 8T is starting to come together! I have the radio tray and servos installed. King Headz braces and radio tray stiffener. They now have a new extended motor mount that I'm eyeing. This is my race scheme and colors for this summer. I learned a lot about aribrushing and color while trying to use my 20 y.o. badger airbrush. I hope to find a new brush some time in the near future. I got my Werks TL 28 and now I'm waiting on my Werks TL 21 to come in this week and try that power plant first.

I just got a reply on another forum about my idle screw. I'm told the one from the Mach engines will work. I gotta go to hobbytown tomorrow so I'll see if they got one.
