Is the Tornado XL a RTR or is it a kit. As I checked it out on my comp an engine mount appeared in the checkout basket. Why bill this if its an RTR? I am loking for a new motor for my older duratrax Axis but at 100 bucks, a whole new buggy might be better even if its a size smaller than a 160 dollar .21 engine.

its RTR. I have no idea why the engine mounts came up. Delete them, you don't need them

Im looking for some new wheels for my tornado xl. can somebody please help? i've been told that they are 12mm and 14mm hex mount. I am looking for just some 2.2" wheels that are the same width as my rears and they look cool.
Thanks
Tyson

I might have a stupid question but can you use super glue to put tires on the wheels or do you have to use a special glue?

I noticed that the wheels have cracked a I was looking for a new set other than the ones on the redcat racing website. If anyone nows let me know. I was also wondering if it is possible to change it two a two speed.

Just read thru the forums. its a really nice little buggy. First thing I would do, would be invest in a new clutch bell set-up thru clermonthobbies, he's on these formus routinely. Make sure you loctite the four screws that hold on the pull starter, and all the other metal contacted screws. Other than that it is very easy to get parts thru redcat or clermont and they arrive very fast. Great buggy all in all, and very nice for just getting started and learning.

I read the review on RCU about the Shockwave. It said you can get one for $99. Is that true? Where is the cheapest place to order one with or without a coupon code? I currently have Gasoline and Electric models but I am not to familiar with Nitros. If I cannot get the Red Cat for $99 I will likely just go with the CEN 1/16 Nitro MT or look into Smart Tech Nitros to get my start. Anyone have any suggestions or links and prices as to which one will give me less problems? Seems wearing out gears is common.

the shockwave was $99 but the price went up to $139 a month or so ago, its a great deal still, you may be able to find one cheaper if you look around.

If there is compression when you turn it at the flywheel its probably a dirty one way bearing

is the cord really easy to pull? your oneway bearing may be bad.

take the one way bearing off, clean it with some carb cleaner and put it back, maybe scuff up the shaft with some steel wool.
