Status: offline 		Haha, If you're feeling adventurous trying turning all the screws you see and try to take notice of how easily they unscrew or if they end up taking somthing off. I know it may not be the best way to go about it but atleast you'll figure things out eventually. I mean hey, you're a mechanic you're supposed to be good at this stuff

Status: offline 		hey dont feel bad martin i just figured out how to tune my syclone except that i have the tawain .18 engine with mine and it does have both needle screws.

right now i'm just waiting on my new futaba radio system to get here, i've already busted the frt lower arm on the pass side and had to replace my fuel lines cause i cut one of them
thinking that it was gettin to much air. didnt know at that time about the hold your finger over the exhaust port he he he oops, well ya live and learn lol!!

Status: offline 		lmao, before i learned the exhaust trick i would pull the line off the exhaust and blow in it, nitro fuel from my experience does not taste all that great.

Status: offline 		to bad we all didnt live closer so we could actually drive em together, i dont know anyone that is into the rc hobby, so i drive alone then come back to my comp. to talk about it, would be funner to be sitting around with abunch of you guys instead of typing on my comp. but this is the best i got, i spend more time on here than flying or driving i think.

Status: offline 		Lol, i'm right there with ya. Fortunately i have a nice little dirt track about 20 mins away where you can always find a few people messing around with their rcs. I'm always a little intimidated talking to them since they all actually know what they're doing. But hey eventually I'll figure things out.

Status: offline 		well i hear ya on all the thngs about gettin together and racing!! i got lucky and found two rc tracks by me (not real big ones) but good enough... lol.

i do have a few buddies out here that are into the whole rc hobby and we go out and run them all the time, well at least when my syclone is haveing down time or my buddies t-maxx breaking something lol!!!

there's a track i go to in bristol, Wisconsin here that has a track not bad either. here's the link to it check it out.. www.bristolrc.com

they have some cool stuff there.. hobby shop is not that big but they stock a crap load of parts...

Status: offline 		Hey guys I'm planning a trip to the beach tomorrow and was wondering if I should take my buggy along for the ride. I'm not sure how badly the sand and salt will wreak havoc on my parts. Since pretty much everything but the screws on the car are made of aluminum I don't think I have much to worry about. Of course I'll clean it off real well after I'm done. Any thoughts?

i guess you could also cover the shocks with those special covers too, but maybe that is a little far fetched..

Status: offline 		With the engine off play around with your throttle control on your remote and try to get the setting to be the most neutral as possible. So when you let go of the throttle the brake doesn't engage but the throttle is also in idle. If the car still wants to take off on you then you may have a broken clutch spring or it could be as simple as your idle screw is just open too much. Hope that helps. Let us know.

Status: offline 		Hey guys, I need help with some new tires for my buggy. I'm not sure exactly what will and won't work. I measured the tires that came with it and they measure about 15mm wide for the front and 20mm for the back. I also know that the hex nut the rims attach to are 6mm. I don't want to pay more than 15 bucks for a whole set, I was looking at e-bay and that doesn't sound too far fetched. If any of you all know where I might be able to find somthing to fit my tornado that'd be great.

Status: offline 		I worked on tuning my syclone today, I found out that my needle valve is supose to be set about 1 to 1 1/2 turns unscrewed from closed position, i found that in the manual on top of page ten, that is alot different then what you guys are running, i wish i had the high and low speed adjustments instead of just one needle valve, it is so hard to tune, i still dont have it but it runs good enough to flip and cartwheel and bend the shock but hey it was fun, if anyone has this engine also is there any advise you could give me, mine runs good as long as you dont go full throttle right away just slowly bring it up then it starts cutting out once in awhile, it has a no gas coming out of exhaust like before and a tank of fuel last longer than 3 min. i just cant get it dialed in. i made little adjustments and drove for a minute then made more adjustments, i ran 3 tanks in it then it got dark and is still not tuned. i might have to find someone to help me and teach me how to set this bad boy.

Status: offline 		maybe change the carb, those single needle carbs are impossible to fine tune. They are easy to get going but not to get exact. i had a car a couple of years ago with the single needle carb and never got it, even the guy at the lhs said the same, new os motor. So i sold the car for like $75 and bought an hpi.

Status: offline 		can i get just a carb or should i get a whole new motor? and if just a carb, how do i go about finding out what will work?
also i broke my antenna tube due to many and i mean many roll overs i just put a piece of fuel line inbetween the cover and tube so it is flexible when rolling over but still stays up when driving you can see it in the pic above it was supose to be a temerary fix but after using it like this i like it better.

Status: offline 		how did you bend the shock and not break anything else???? i usually break a shock tower or a arm when i bend a shock, usually you can bend them back enough to work until you get the replacement.

Status: offline 		why not just get and engine from chubbysdad, the .18 size if you have the 2 speed, its less than $100. Usually you get a new carb like a slide carb but your usually looking at over $50, so its not so cost effective. Plus you wont have to worry about if the engine fits or not.

Status: offline 		I have no clue i was wondering the same thing, i cant believe the a-arm didnt break. I hit a stick in the grass not a very big one but it cause my buggy to do about 7 or 8 hard cartwheels and endos. I was lucky this is all that broke but after driving to day i think these little buggys hold up pretty good, just my engine sucks at this moment. My traxxas rustler is so easy to tune i can tune it in about 10 min my first time which was today, i took it back to factory settings and tuned it, i thought it might be eaisier to tune it and it was! also thought it may help with tunning the himoto
