Well, I bought a Savage a few months ago and, ironically, there just aren't that many off-road places to drive around here where I live in Germany. There is, however, a very nice RC track in a big park nearby.... Normally I would probably only consider an HPI 1/10 (maybe the Viper or GT40.. Rush?), but this car is on e-bay for what seems like a very good price/peformance combo... It's in German, but have a look and tell me what you think.... Thanks. it looks to me like one of the cheap smarttech cars i would stay with a brand name

Well I agree it's weird they don't post the brand names(what in the hell is Robitronic, or Smarttech for that matter??..), but I bought my Savage from these guys. They helped me break it in and tune it(er, they did it for me..) as part of the deal for buying it, and they did a good job. My Savage kicks ass... They've got a big race hall, and host legit Kyosho-sponsored events, etc.. I think several of the guys there are pros actually. Because I'm inclined to trust them, I thought maybe they'd thrown together a good, well-performing car for a decent price in order to out-do the bigger brand names.. But what do I know? Keeping in mind that I'm in Germany, then what would you recommend? Based on my experience with my Savage, I'm very happy with HPI, but the RS4 Evo's are about €400 RrR here. I suppose there could be a cheaper Kyosho alternative, or something else, but... Well, you know how it goes - basically, I want the best performance and quality to price/value ratio I can get.. €300 would be a lot easier to stomach than €400.............

maybe you could get something imported from the usa for much less... i know i am not in germany but i save money from buying from the states

If you want to get into onroad, stay with brands like HPI, Team Associated, and Ofna. Best RTRs onroads out of the box and user friendly.

dude just those cars are great but think bout parts stick with cen,traxxas and schumacker if u have the money! those are the best and hottest brands around!!

I would stick with HPI and Team Associated.

Well, like I said, based on my experience with my Savage, I'm very much inclined to stick with HPI. 'Course it's a tad more expensive for a RS4 Evo - though I'm sure, as with the Savage, I'd be getting a quality product. This other car I found on e-bay BTW, the place that's selling them has about ten on their ebay store, so I really don't think it's just a one-off piece of junk. Plus, since these guys all race, etc.., maybe it could be a good deal....

check with ur hobby shop and see what parts they supply and go for that, stay away from CEN, i havnt had a GOOD experience with those cars yet, many of my friends have them, they are a pain in the ass. 2 of my friends have the CT4-S its fast, but it isnt made to handle that speed. plus u wont hit those ridiculous speeds on a track and the CEN Genesis isnt to bad either but the engines are a pain, and things keep falling off, just my experiences. my top 2 brands are HPI and associated but ive got a thunder tiger engine, they make excellent engines, but crappy cars in general.

They're an official Kyosho center shop/distributor/race center.. They've got an indoor race track, as well as one or two outside, and an offroad course. They're also a main seller for HPI products. Like I said, the guys are legit. I just wanted to know what you think of these cars they're offering. If you look at their e-bay shop, you can see what they've got. The car is based on a Robitronic, whatever that is.. (the ad says it's Austrian). It looks like they threw together a batch of these things, maybe for racers.. But them I'm clueless about road-cars(and to be totally honest, about RC in general still..), so I just can't tell.
