Anyone remember this one?
I built and flew a couple of these back about 16 years ago...maybe longer than that, man time flies.
They were OK then but with today's mini radio gear/engines they would be very Hot in the air now.
I have been digging out old molds/kits that i don't use or need any longer, I bought the rights/parts tooling to this kit some years back, just because i flew a few of them and liked them then.
But it looks like i will never get back there again from the looks of my jet manufacturing business, :-( i will never put it back on the market.
So heres the Deal, If anyone would like to buy the kit rights/parts/fixtures and produce it...Here it is 500.00 bucks and its yours.

Hi Dan, yes this kit used to be the HOB kit which was the manufacturer when i built it back in the late 70s or early 80s.

Hi Dan, yes there is plans but the specs from who had drawn them have been cut away to change.

Billy its still for sale, I'm not sure what all is in the crate but i do know the die-cut fixture for cutting the ribs is in there alone with a lot of parts the best i can remember. I will dig it all out if you are truly serious about buying it. Its in storage and its COLD here man :-), so i don't want to freeze my butt off if i don't have too, lol. Were suppose to get a *** freezing rain storm here tomorrow so i may be trapped at home and cant get to the shop.

The picture appears to be a partial shot of Hirsch's 3 views and not the plans.

The reason I asked about the designer, is because, my father along with Fred Reese designed the Dara for HOB. And if I could get a set of HOB plans that would be great!! Do you have any available?

Dan

I have hand drawn plans for the Miss Dara and an American Aircraft Modeler article with photos of the original Miss Dara .15 1/4 Midget designed by John Krekovich and flown by Charlie Swain to first place in every event in which it was entered and qualified. They are highly detailed two page plans copyrighted and now in my possession to market thanks to Krek. He offered them to several companies in 74 to kit and nobody bit on his offer. It looks like House of Balsa went ahead and kitted it anyway.

If anyone is interested in these plans as is or as a newly scaled up quarter 40 racer with laser cut parts I would be happy to enlarge to the correct size and have the drawings qualified and parts manufactured.

Please let me know,

Tom

Plans are now scanned, cleaned up in photoshop to remove the darker areas inherent in older hand drawn paper plans, and duplicated and listed on ebay for sale. I can scale these to any size you guys like. for twice the size, figure twice the price. Bid high, bid often or just shoot me an email and I'll ship them out to you. I like to get $10.05 a set for two page rare and original plans such as these. About $15.95 to enlarge them. Remember that my limit is 36" wide roll stock for blueprint white bond paper but I can rearrange the components and go all the way to quarter or third scale if I get creative. (if you want quarter or third scale better figure $30 for the plans.)
