Status: offline 		grs34...PLENTY....of power remember my plane weighs 17 lbs and once I am airborne I fly at about half to three quarter throttle..plenty of speed..if thats what you want...remember its an AT-6 not an f-18

Status: offline 		Started fitting my century jet retracts this week on my texan. got a big suprise! These are as much a drop in as if I threw them at the plane and they fit. After reeming out the center wing to get the struts in took a break for christmas. Started agian yesterday, found out the wing mounts would take a lot of modifying to fit the retract mounts. Holes were not even close. Wheels hang down way below the wings and all in all look real sloppy. I guess you get what you pay for. This is my first set of Century retracts and if this is what they sell it will be my last. I'll keep trying to make them work and see what happens, but for anyone else you might want to look somewhere else.

Status: offline 		I flew the Texan this week with the OS 160 and it was just fine, all the power you will need in this plane.almost unlimited vertical.The only thing itlikes to bounce on landing.If you have an OS 160 looking for a home this is the plane....................

Status: offline 		Was able to maiden my AT-6 today and all went well. This baby required very little rudder on the ground to get it going straight, but take off was nice and smooth. I have a FTL 52 cc swinging a 20x10 for power. I did 3 - 10 mins flights all were flawless. My sticks never went pass ½ throttle of any of the flight. This motor gives my AT-6 awesome power to weight ratio. While in the air, it took 2 clicks of right ailerons and 1 click of up elevator to fly level. Landing was uneventful. Plane has a nice glide when power was cut. Was a little bounces on landings, but I think that was my nerves taken over. Looking to get 20 + flight this week. Here is a short 3 min video I took yesterday running the AT-6 on the ground.

Status: offline 		patzane....I found the at-6 to have a very sensative elevator.........I add about 15% exponential and it quite bouncing on landing.........I also fly a very short approach to landing keeping the plane in a constant decent until about a foot off the runway still in a decent .......flare gently all the way to touchdown....this technique stopped the tendency to bounce especially bouncing back in the air and beginning the grasshopper bounces....the at-6 is notorious for this type of landing even on the FULL SCALE BIRD if your not careful......but once you get familiar with this techniqe the plane is a joy to fly and land........good luck...

The only thing worse than their fit is their support.I screwed up BIG not getting sierra's but to late now century dosen't want to here it.I'm sure I'll get them to work, but what a waste of time. The amount of grinding and rebuilding on the wing is unbelievable. If I ever think about Century retracts again sombody please kick me in the cyber ****!

Status: offline 		I have noticed that this plane needs a lot of ground speed to do a good takeoff. It has a tendency to snap or stall on takeoff if there is very little wind and you don't get the speed up. This plane cannot be just hoisted off the ground like a sport plane even though it will slow to a crawl on landings! This has happened to me twice before I realized what was happening. The second time it cartwheeled and broke the firewall out. Repaired and flown many times since. Paul

Pictures attached.

Also for those of you with the Zenoah G26ei, be very careful to NOT OVERTIGHTEN the prop nut. There is a double threaded shaft in the end of the crank that is only 4mm on the crank end, and it snaps off very easily. Mine is at Horizon Hobby service center right now being repaired.

Status: offline 		did the maiden today and all went well. kept speed on take off up and lifted straight ( no pull to left). mine has the g26ei but with only a apc 17x6. more than enough pull . i was surprized just how fast it was even at half throttle. first landing was pretty good only small bouce. second one bounced a little more causing my left serria retract to turn in the holder at the top' after straighting and tighting the next flight was perfect.

My Sierras moved a little too at first and then after one retightening they never moved again.
