I heard Mark ( Moki) engine parts are no longer available from Morris Hobbies. I see on their site that the available Mark engines has diminished to some degree. Anyone have any info?

Somebody should just buy that factory and run it right.

Someone was on here a few days ago looking for Moki parts. While he was talking to a guy at Morris, he overheard... see below. Was this guy talking about Mark?

quote:

The second reason I bring this up is because I also called Morris Hobbies. The guy I spoke to asked me to call back in 10-15 minutes as the person I need to speak to had stepped out. Before I hung up he said "Don't delay, we are shipping the entire line back and you will not be able to get anything through us". I said "Nothing for Mark or Moki ?" He says "No...it's...their.. No " As if he was biting his tongue not to say more. I called back a bit later and ordered my part.

The importer (Gerrard) is out of the picture I believe.

Purchased a Su-Du-Khoi 60 and they sent the wrong kit. Returned it on 12/13/05. I still have not received a refund, exchange offer, reply, nothing.

I finally received credit for the Su-du-khoi kit that was returned to Morris Hobbies. It took two and a half months. The credit came from American Express services and no thanks to Morris Hobbies. They did not reply to AM nor me in any manner. I consider this poor business practice that Morris Hobbies extends to their customers.

It looks like Morris is selling their stake in Rossi engines as well.

I bought a NIB Sachs 3.2 engine from Morris Hobbies on ebay. I received a usedSachs 3.2 with a bent prop hub or crank in a Zenoah G 38 box. I told Robert I would keep the used engine if Brison would check out and repair what was needed and he agreed. I said I would send straight to Brison but he said to send it to him because Brison was local to him anyways. He never sent the engine to Brison instead he gave it to a machinist friend to straighten out the prop hub. After waiting 3 months to find this out I told him to sent my money back and I bought another engine. It has now being 8 months and after probably 20 phone calls and many emails still no refund and no engine, the word "crook" comes to mind.
P.S beware of Robertmvvs on ebay

Morris Hobbies has dumped the MVVS line of engines too ...... the last time I looked on their website they had not a single MVVS engine for sale! They do still offer MVVS parts and I was going to try ordering a few parts, but after reading this thread ... NO Way! I will take my MVVS business to the foreign dealers I reckon? I do hope someone picks up the MVVS line here in America and does right with it because the MVVS engines are darn good products but have never been advertised and hyped properly in order to $$jump$$ into the current glow engine markets. Just IMHO.

The first sign of going out of bussiness is NO refunds or exchanges.

That is why I ONLY use Master Card or American Express for purchases. They refund NOW. And handle the aggravation.

Weird all this. FWIW I ordered and promptly received a main NV assembly for my Moki 1.8 last week......

If Morris is in fact dropping the Moki/Mark line, does anyone know who will pick it up?

You can get parts from Just Engines if you get into trouble.
