I wouldn't write this post if I had had a reply to my e mail that I sent to OMP tree days ago.

I have ordered and got a OMP Yak Pro ARF in the first days of the year. OMP has charged me US$ 529,90 ( 199,90 for the ARF and rest for UPS shipping).

When I ordered the plane OMP has told me shipping cost to Turkey will be around US$ 150-200.

I have to say shipping was quick and although there were some holes on the package ARF was unharmed.

But, Charging US$ 330 is too much to ship a 10 lbs package to Europe. We all know that getting a much larger plane ( a giant UCD for example) from Tower Hobbies will cost you half of this money.( The exact figure is US$ 140,70 - via UPS ). Nobody can tell me UPS will apply different rates for different shippers ( at least with that much differance )

I would like you all know that, I am still waiting a satisfactory reply from OMP ( there can always be mistakes and they can be corrected) and also I would like get the attention of the people from Europe who considers to order from OMP in future....

I hope to see OMP checks and corrects this (problem). And I like to order from OMP again in the future.

Status: offline 		It should be an error there. I payed 39.95 US shipping for a yak 65 kit. I know ARF box is bigger, but not enough to pay 330 US dolars.

Status: offline 		Selam Zafer,may I ask why did you accept shipping by UPS instead surface or nearby?Any restriction by size etc?I am told that,for a 160 cm. wingspan Cessna ARF kit by UceTech ,60$ shipping to Istanbul.But Im not sure whether from California center or from China factory.

At last, I got an e-mail from OMP, saying that they were very busy and will check UPS bill&records. I hope there will be a correction.

I have asked the shipment rates ( US$ 150-200 was ofcourse very high, but anyhow I accepted it) and ordered the plane. I had no ways to know, a different rate would apply afterwards. Besides, I like OMP Profile planes and I didn't know ( still don't know) any other supplier of those kind of planes from within the Europe. This is why...

IMHO, surface shipment of a highly fragile item is not a good idea. Slow and unsafe( sure will be cheap[ ).

Status: offline 		One of our big problems lately is that Dion has been away from OMP and we are not sure when he will be back engaged. We are sorry for the lack of response and are making adjustments.

Now to address this issue. You sent your email on Sat the 28th. That was two days ago and today is the first business day since your email. After checking into this history the normal overseas shipping is via USPS and you specifically requested UPS shipment. The 65 Yak ARF box is very large and consideded oversize. The exact shipping amount was $333.84. For reference anyone can go online to UPS.com and inquire for shipping charges. Shipping charges are not based on weight but the size of the box. Now this was your choice and we shipped exactly as you requested. We ship overseas quite often and have thousands of satisfied customers. You must keep in mind that the size of the box and what method you choose to ship can vastly affect the shipping charge.
