Thanks gotalighting!

Hey redbull08,

The manual for the electric starter says it will fit the 27cxp engine.

I have a couple of VX18's left if you need one. (send me an email )

I'm just curious, whats the advantage to that fuel tank over the stock one? Is it smaller to save on weight or something?

I just baught my lightning and i have had nothing but problems. First time i started the car the clutch spring broke into two peices. After i fixed that i was driving and the car spun out and bumped the cerb, Barley bumped it, and all the electroninc went out on it. Luckily i have other cars. I swaped the electronics got it running again and now the car wont shift into second gear. So guess thats where i am.
Does anyone know how to make the car shift into second gear again?
Oh yah, the gears are already stripping out, and ive only had the car for two days, im really doubting my choice in the lightning, but we'llsee what happens.

Upgrade the clutchbell to hpi 17/22 and get a traxxis spring and you are good to go. Watch some video's posted on the lightning. They are great little cars. Ehroof will tell you lol.

anyone have any recommendations on break-in......i know you are suppose to just let it idle for the first 1-2 tanks, but what do i do from there... sorry if this is a dumb question, but im a NOOB when it comes to nitro

run it at 1/4 for 2nd tank, 1/2 for third adn 3/4 for fourth and fifth tank, dont run at constand speed, 3 seconds on, brake and turn, 3 seconds again, brake and turn, etc. etc., make sure you let if cool between tanks and dont adjust the needles until your on your 6th tank.
