Im a serius newbe Iv had a dragonfly 36 for 3 weeks iv hardly got it off the ground for more than 3 seconds and have so far gone through 3 sets of blades .. The battery a ni-mh 448 is hopeless im contantly charging it for 3 to 5 mins of flight/sortof . and it gets hot and so does the charger. and motor just when im starting to get some form the battery dies.

can anyone recomend a battery that will last longer and a good charger .. i heard the swallow charger is good.

..and do i need a better motor than rk400sd stock..// im happy just to hover.
finally is it a good idea to doo all these updates or just save up for another better model ?

thanx

I have the walkera 35 and found that the shogun motor from Hobby people for $13 is a good motor for it if you are using a brushed setup. I also use the thunder power 11.1v 1380 MAh battery. Seems to be a good combination.

you'll want an align420LF a 25A ESC and a look at my guide for setting it up, (bottom link in sig) also, take a look at maxamps.com for a good li-poly.

I have been using the 1800 / 10C silver LiPo and charger that came with mine. I have a standard brushed motor and that setup has plenty of power to hover with... it takes off no problem, even though I am probably not adjusted right in the blades. Be sure to adjust your pitch... read the big 106 page #36 thread for awesome instructions.
I use www.rcandme.com for parts. Some #36 parts are listed in the #35 section.

Good Luck!!

you've got to be careful, sure, as with everything, but the 36 works great for a helicopter, I'd suggest it, IF YOU CAN TAKE IT SLOW!!!
