Has anyone successfully used the Traxxas 30t steel idler in their EXT?  I've got one and tried it but the size seems a little off (large) and it binds once the case halves are together.

yeah thats normal from what i've heard you may need sand the teeth a little, on the idler but it has been done with little modification i sugjest heay lubrication and frequent checkups and cleaning to ensure a good fit

rc10 is made by associated or team associated. I hoping the inside diameter isnt to big. 3/16 is a little bigger than the evader has. If my ruler and good eye is working correctly. lol

accually its a little small i have the wheels and if you do the math or cheat like i do with
http://www.towerhobbies.com/help/convcalcs.html
it works out to be like 4.8mm and the evader rears are 5mm the fronts work just fine the use the same bearing and everything

yeah i'd be very interested more data on this the better, just incase this doesn't work i'll add a note in the page mentioned in my sig, (if you haven't read it, you should), because it has been done before but that could've been a fluke...

Thx lug, I wasn't sure if it was a plug and play or needed a little tweaking to work properly.  I'll get to tuning it.

hmmmm i was having a ton of fun with my B4 brushless and brushed (then killed it at 40 mph doing a cartwheel i hate that pothole with a passion), very fast and quick and pretty light so it didn't eat its self alive or maybe a mini like a mini hyper ste or e revo min... what i like about the sub 1/10's is they're small and easy to work on fairly durable yet still really fun and can be pretty dang fast

uhh i probally do not of any recent ones lemmei go see if i can dig one up...
no nothing worth anything that was taken in the past year or so... i'll get some good ones tommorow... or try if i have time to do some wrenching maybe tommorow nite....
well i got one... but its top on so meh i'll get a better one tommorow but here's this one for now...
haha i have more... this is a rough proto-type that i'm working on improving...

hehe its all snowy

the orginal build thread (i think i posted this like 100pgs ago)
the new one... we kinda got off on a tangent about, wouldn't ya know it, evaders...
http://www.rcaddictz.com/creations-f13/17-mm-hex-s-for-your-1-10-t324.htm

i think thats it for evader pics i wish i could rember where i kept um all arg ahh well bedy bye for me you guys are keeping me up late (not really i had other things keeping me up)

3 of my evaders have XL-5s. been real happy - no overheats, no cutting out, no glitching., using mostly HPI tx/rx. 1 of em is loosing reverse after about a year of heavy use/abuse (I use velcro instead of zip-tie or gluing em down and it got dragged behind the evader for about 200 feet, might be part of the problem - oops). one of em's a waterproof jobbie, haven't seen any real difference.

if you want to unload any of those batts, I've got a decent Orion SV2 (10t) and a fairly complete parts chasis evader ST I really don't need (pretty much everything but the metal parts and front arms).

I am wondering if anyone knows how to make my evader better on grass. Please keep it cheap. My evader is full stock and has a 6 cell 2000mah nicd battery. cheap means under 30$.

hmmm i can't really help since its been SO long since i've run my evader with anything near stock power/gearing, whats the problem does the speeds just drop and does it seem like the tires are slipping or does it seem to have no power and are the electronics getting hot, motor, esc and battery? anything like that...
and is this a EXT or ST

you didnt say wich one you have. if its an ext get bearings for
at least the back end, it should go better. if youre after any sort
of power gain your gonna have to spend more money. either
a good battery- 3000nimh or a good motor- 19t/27t . one goes hand
in hand with the other. get a battery the stock photon will go pretty
quick and wear out just as fast. lets face it the old photon isnt the
best. or you can get a motor, wi ch you wont really reep the full
benefits from with them 2000nicd's. hope this helps.

cheech, do you like rock crawlers or scale off roaders? might
be something to think about. im addicted to it.my other
project (scale truck) and wiating for parts have made the evader
see very little road recently. glad you didnt sell it cheech.
gotta keep the old girl.

couldnt go doing my project without throwing some evader in there.
check it out. 4wd transfer case. (actually a nitro evader st gearbox)

thats pretting interesting i was gunna say then was like no it can't be but it is i've been debating getting one of those and seeing if i can maybe make up a plate for it outta sheet metal me thinks it can be done but i'd end up mounting it backwards... and kinda have the motors where the batteries are and just go total overhaul on it... and put it under the shock towers... yes i may be crazy...
now to go wrench for the next
uhh idk until dinner then for time after that
wheres the camera.... FOUND IT

ohh coolio on the 2pl gets the 2.4 treatment and only runs you 110 bones.... lug want.... cuz lug loves his am 2pl and a 2.4 would be epicness okay pics and updates....
the bx hubs which tower let me keep stick out too far and the rims hit them... i may get some 2.8's or mod the parts probally go the 2.8 route tho i'm def gunna keep um around and maybe use them for a super speed run with buggy tires up front... and lowered suspention maybe 1/2" clearance either way here are some quick pics electrionics are mostly for show... excpet for batt and my new ts 140 servo very nice smooth fast unit

here i took off the fronts because incase you didn't notice i kinda just had um half on the axles...

my al servo horn who hoo

my wheelie bar that kinda works made outta a divider for one of those part box deals...

me having fun with tires and independant suspention...

ALMOST all the tires used on my evader... mising my savage tires and the orginal bowties... and the top ones are from my e-chaos

well thats it for pics hope ya enjoyed um as much as i enjoyed getting the evader ready for this, i'd have my SW in it but its in my B4 wich is running and evader still needs that motor plate and tranny screws which i'm hotly presueing the burlington vermont area for...

are those CF parts decaled or real CF?
