Hello,

I am of course a newbie here and am completely overwhelmed with all this info.

I want to buy a RC heli and I cant decide which one to buy.

Should I spend the extra money on the 36 or should i start with the 22e or something else?

I had a little SYMA dragonfly 2-channel heli and it was a blast to fly indoors, but my friend wrecked it and now i want to get something better.

I want to upgrade to something that i will be happy with for awhile.

Any suugestions??

Does anyone know where i can find basics like what all these terms mean? like anatomy of these birds?

Thanks!!!!

There is next to no chance of a #36 flying out of the box without brushless motor/ESC, gyro and a good Li-PO battery at least.
If you are really unlucky you will be in for a better radio too.
So be prepared to double/triple the initial price of the heli to get it capable of real flight.
I can't comment on the 22e as I have never even seen one. Hopefully someone who owns one can give you their opinion.

Great, thanks for your input, thats what ive heard.

I just need to hear from a 22e owner i guess

I am also considering a Honeybee CP2

didnt think this would be that hard of a decision.

I'd go for the 36 personally... but if I were you I'd try to get a walkera #4 instead, it's much more adapt for learning.

Well after all the research, ive decided on a E-flite Honeybee CP2. Seems it may be the easiest to learn on and keep around for awhile. If this hobby works out I will buy a #36 or a TRex around summertime.

thanks for the input!

I have both a 22E and a 22D... The 22E is pretty tough to fly.. It has lots of power and is aimed at the intermediate flyers. It can get away from you pretty quick.. I like my 22E but the only drawback is that it is pretty fragile. I'm not sure of your experience level. My 22D is a pretty good flyer and is much more forgiving on the crash and hard landing arena.. That thing really takes a beating (I'm a newbie too) and keeps coming back for more... Both helis need adjustment out of the box...I would suggest reading the 22E lets talk thread..theres some good info there..

well, any CP heli will break much eaiser than a FP heli, that's why I reccomended the #4, but, if you want to start with a CP heli go look at grandrc.com some of the best prices are there.
