Status: offline 		I went to an indoor flying thing in my town of chatham ontario last night but i could not fly because i do not have insurance? i was wondering what kind of insurance they were talking about. i think they said maac but i am not sure. so any help is appreciated

Status: offline 		Yes if it was a regular type club they would of required you to have MAAC insurance. Go here for details www.maac.com
Our coverage is very cheap and you are insured up to $5,000,000.00

Status: offline 		Public liability insurance is required at most flying sites.

MAAC is the Model Aweronautics Association of Canada, a national organisation to promote aeromodelling. It is not primarily in the business of providing insurance, but is able to provide insurance as part of the membership benefits, using economies of scale. The insurance you get from MAAC is recognized across Canada and the States, and applies across the world. This may not be true of any insurance you might obtain privately.
