for some reason my recever aint working

like i took it over to my lhs and they snifed at it for a while (like they stuck there noses into it) and determined that it smelled like burning electonics from water maybe

i never have opened it till last night so i dint see how that could be but i took there advice anyways and got another recever but that didint help so now im preety shure that its either a bad battery or the transmiter

Dude! Always chech the cheap and easy parts first! Ie battery. Have you checked for voltage at the reciever? @the battery, lights come on on the radio? Does anything come to mind about the last time you used it? Have you tried different servos? (maybe yours got wet) Bad on off switch? battery connection. Check out the whole story before you start buying crap willy nilly. Please save the "I don't have a multimeter" BS Lowes/Home Depot/any autoparts store will have a selection that will work for you for less than $20.

Make sure that the channel numbers on your tx & rx match. Make sure the batteries (RX & TX) are charged.

Become friends with you're JR racing's manual, I had some major issues with mine and I managed to fix all of them by just reading the manual.

Like everyone above said, check your batteries, and check which channel your RX & TX are on and make sure they are on the same channel. My LST2 came with the RX and TX on 2 different channels and it had me going crazy trying to figure out what it was. If you are getting absolutely no response from the receiver, then I would be willing to bet both of them are on different channels. Pages 14 and 15 of the JR manual will tell you how to change and check the channels of your rx and tx. If you lost or dont have a manual you can go here: http://www.jrradios.com/ProdInfo/Files/jrp317227-manual.pdf
