I am planning on getting a Zagi 400 or 400X for Christmas, probably the 400X. I have a few questions.

Will I be able the charge the batteries with a Super Brain 959?

Aprox. how long will it take to build? (I also have a LT-40 ARF, its my first kit)
What other things do I need to build it? ex. hobbyknife etc.

what are the runtimes of the 400 and 400X?

Which radio should I get, the Futaba 3ch or Hitec 3ch?

What type of covering would I have to get if I wanted more color?

What important things should I do while building it? (I've heard about mounting the reciever in a dif. place)
How many spare batteries should I get and how much are they?

Is it a park flyer? If so, would a football, baseball, and running track be big enough?
What are the Pros and Cons of the 400 and 400X?

Can some one please answer some of my questions?

looking at the specs of the superbrain there should be no problems

an afternoon is all it should take. you are going to need standard tools like a knife and stuff for cutting plastic/tape/foam. they are not hard to assemble just take your time and read the directions carefully and it should go together well.

I have a zagi 400 running on an OLD battery that gets about 4 minutes on full throttle. again this is with a old tired battery and at full throttle all the time... when using the throttle conservativly I can probably stretch that to 10 or more.

either one. I use futaba regularly but have a few hitech RXs and servoes and have had no trouble with them.

If you want to cover with mono/ultrakote then you will want the low temp stuff so as not to melt the foam when covering. make sure you cover so that you can tell top from bottom (left from right would be a big plus too)

dont know much about mods and such during building (mine is stock)

I have heard that 3 batteries is a good number as it will let you charge some when you are flying the others
although they are a bit pricey to get.

you should have plenty of room on a standard "sports" feild.

as for the 400 vs 400x the 400x has a bigger battery that gives you a bit more climb and longer duration the 400 is lighter. thats about it.

no problem.

I am sure you will be happy with the zagi, it is a fun plane and really tough (mine went full speed into the ground (see quote about covering top/bottom/left/right )and about 5 minutes worth of work it was back in the air. (i only broke a prop (motor slid through mount) the canopy (cosmetic) and cracked a aileron (CAed it)

I, sure any more info can be found at http://www.zagi.com/

also there are other flying wings other than zagis among them is the "Bee" found at http://www.windrider.com.hk/profile/profile.html , after the holidays I will be picking up a elecra bee and messing around with conversions (im thinking a twin ducted fan)

I was a Zagi nut for a while and it allowed me to get my confidence back after a bad crash. Go here to learn all the tricks. If you look hard you can find my Draino bottle canopy on there.

After readign how fragile they are, I covered my elevons with Ultracote. The zagi has met the ground and a few trees, and they are still intact.
