I'm sure this is a dumb question but.....what is the oil content on the Powermaster 30% pattern blend. I looked at their website and didn't see it.....probably just missed it. I am assuming the 20/20 blend is 20% nitro and 20% oil. Does the 30% also have 20% oil? I did notice that the oil is all synthetic.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry...I should have added this to my last post but would the 20/20 or 30% be okay to break in a Saito 100 or a YS 110?

Thanks.

Not sure about the YS motor but I run my Saito's on powermaster 2 stroke 10% nitro premium sport fuel which is 18% oil castor/ syn blend. I'm not a big one for spending big bucks on fuel. I pay about $12 per gallon and it runs just fine. I break my motors in on the same stuff to. I will give up a little performance so I don't have to spend $20 plus a gallon for fuel. Hell I might try 5% next and see if that works. You would probably be quite safe with the 20/20 in both though.

Anyone know if Power Masters has a fuel blend for RCV engines? I'm about out of the fuel I have and am wanting to get some more for the coming season. I believe the fuel I had was 15% nitro and 7% castor, 7% synthetic. Any insights into this would be appreciated.

The 30% Powermaster Pattern Blend contains the same oil mix as the YS 20/20, and is 20% oil. Our Heli Blend is the 23% low Viscosity oil mix. In response to the question regarding the fuel for the RCV Engine, we do have a 15% nitro 15% oil blend; however, it is a 1/3 castor ans 2/3 synthetic blend ( our 15% Four Stroke Blend).

I am guesing that 1/3 castor equals 5%? if that is so, RCV requires a max of 6% castor. the remaider synthetic, with a total of 15% oil. If this is not correct, please enlighten us. I have an RCV 91CD, have been running 10% nitro, 18% oil, and the oil exiting the crank case breather is high. Interested in powermaster 4 stroke, but the web site gives no inclination of the percentages of what oils are in the fuel.

Hell I might try 5% next and see if that works.

It will work just fine. My Saito 1.00 with 14x8 Graupner and Fox 5% fuel with 20% castor, just for grins.

Got an email back from powermaster. There 15% nitro has 15% oil in it. 1/3 castor, 2/3 synthetic, by my calculations that equals 5% castor, 10% synthetic. Went looking for it today at hobby town, (look all you want), a customer said he ran 20% traxx in his saito 4 stroke, and it loved it. Dont think I will be trying that stunt myself.

Boy this is an old thread. Just for giggles I was running my Saito 65 on Powermaster 5% sport fuel and it worked okay. I also was running a Magnum 120 4 stroke on FAI fuel and it ran okay to. I think a lot of castor oil in these low nitro fuels must help compressuion or something because they seem to like it better then the synthetics in low nitro applications.

I changed from Omega 10% to Powermaster 15% and my evolution 61 improved on idle and transition from idle to full throttle. I later tried some Omega 15% that was on sale and noticed a significant reduction in idle performance and md range power. Being new to the hobby, I am not saying my results are scientific; but I intend to stay with Powermaster and use it on an OS 46xs I am installing in a Pulse I am now puting together.
