OMG.....ok today i just got my New Night ranger 3D, read all the intrustions did everything, charged the battery, checked the hole heli. all that jazz. so i was like ok i guess im ready. i go to put the battery n, walk away to get my controler n all of a sudden it takes off. IM LIKE WHAT THE HELL!!! so...pretty much all in all i have no heli to fly n i need to get parts n tower hobbies doesnt get some of the parts till late febuary. THIS SUCKS!!!...is there anywhere else where i can get parts for this.

Well, first things first.....

list the parts you need!

Look at the Hornet II bell hiller head at helihobby....its plastic and it will fit the Venom perfectly....$37 for the whole thing.

find it here: Hornet Bell Hiller - perfect fit for Venom

lots of other goodies there also that will fit the Venom NR3D.

Look for parts for the Dragonfly 22E....ebay maybe. I'm pretty sure the tail boom, tail motor housing and such will fit....exact matches probably.
DragonFly 22E parts on ebay These parts will all fit your Venom 3D.

an online dealer... This may be a good place to get a tail boom....alum. $5.00

I hate rc-expert....I hate ebay china dealers...but they are a resource for Hornet/venom NR3D parts in a pinch.

any how, post a list and I'll try to help locate some alternatives that don't break your bank.

Oh, and BTW....you probably simply walked between the heli and the Transmitter. Those radios will not put up with that and will loose signal. Its the same reaction as if you were to turn your transmitter off before unplugging the battery from the Reciever. These are two things I would avoid doing until you can afford a better alternate radio. One other thing is....don't point the TX antenna directly at your heli. there is a dead spot straight off the tip....more VBTH (very bad things happen)....

Sorry about the poor start....hang in there and we'll get it back in shape for you to try again.

omg if i would of known that they did the hole set i would of gotten that. but i dicided to get all the parts from venom its self so i wont have a hassel wiht not gettin the right parts.

broken parts.
-main rotor blade
-main blade grips
-tail gearbox
-tail blades
-tail struts.
-tail boom
-tail spure
-n i got a extra battery.

Hey,

I know how you feel. I just bought a set of CF blades for my BCP and while I was making an adjustment to my TX, the dam thing took off. It was inside my house and right next to my HD TV. I quickly swatted the thing down like a bug, totally destroying the thing (better than a $2000 TV). Man did that piss me off!!!

I now know better to:

1. Only fly outside
2. Don't point my TX directly at the copter
3. Don't turn off the TX before the copter

and most importantly..

4. Establish a "run away" path to get the hell out of there when things go bad!!

ha...ya i was seriously like a foot away from my heli....i was just makin sure everything was working right. n i was like ok it seems ok...so i put it on the floor, n all of a sudden it takes off. this was inside my house.

I orderd the parts from Venom products. n now it seems like they have a back order on some of there parts.

this SUCKS!

I never had one take off before but it happened on me once when I was holding the heli. Beat the living ^&*( outa me. my chest looked like ****a Kentai's back from the movie "Roots". the pin that locks the head to the main shaft finally broke and my whoopin was over.

If that wasn't bad enough, my teenage boy laughed till he was crying....kept saying something about the looks that went over my face as things progressed in those few seconds.

Oh....its funny now for sure! I like to add a little levity here now and then.

I especially like the way the forum filtered out Mr. Kentai's first name. I never even noticed it inside that name till the filter got it......Now to me....that's funny.

edit...I gues my overall point is that breaking a heli is all part of the "game". Fixing them and going forward is the difference between a toy and a hobby.

If it flies and is RC....and mine.....its gonna crash. That's a given....and the same story for allot of us here. I just wish that helicopter manufacturers and dealers would understand and take this fact to heart BEFORE releasing a kit. I'm sure there is more money in parts supply than kit supply so.......seems illogical not to have parts available to sell. Maybe Venom can't get thier parts rebranded fast enough....I know the parts are there, just not with the Venom branding.

I'm not complaining so much about Venom...I recognise the machine for what it is. I appreciate the fact that they are trying to put these cheaper parts in my LHS. I think someone is sleeping on the job and needs a sloppy wet willy to get them going again. WE NEED PARTS!!!!!

OK....Maybe I am complaining but I'm trying to be positive about it too.

Wow!!

Hasnt happened to me yet.nock on wood but i did seem to find that spot on the tx today when it glitched.One thing im starting to not like about my heli is the slopp and fliying in the wind it just wants to pitch up.Well for my first heli sure is teaching me to control the little beast and making me a better pilot for my second one.Will be buying a trex next week thats just another story.Be safe next time guyz and watch those fingers

ya its pretty crazy...im think if venom makes the Heli, then why dont they have the extra parts for the heli. Its not that hard. i dont kno whats the deal with venom or maybe its not venom. all i would like is to have parts.

How long have u all been waiting for parts from Venom???

let me make a guess, though not familiar with the venom, a few things could have happened:
1 cell phone caused interferrance, if you had one, and it was on....
2 signal lost from Tx (you walking in front of it)
3 other forms of interferrance via TV, wireless speakers, cell phones, cordless phones or such could also have caused the problem.
