Ok i think this is a record. half a tank to strip a gear. I cant seem to get the truck to wheelie. I dropped the gear mesh down to 1 sheet of reciept paper. Put it in gears. I was just outside. It runs really good now that the LSN is tuned. Anyway. It just peels out on the ground. Stop the truck load it up 10 seconds and VROOOM im off. next thing i know lol the gear is stripped not half stripped like a bad mesh but at the base of the gear valley.

Whats up with that?

Since the spur on the X is easily accessible by removing the tranny cover, does it make sense to go with a hardened steel or TI spur?

I am new to this thread but not the hobby. I have had several t-maxx's and currently have a revo with the rb concepts .23 motor. I have a Savage SS on the way. Should be here on the 28th. Are these good trucks? I have never had HPI before but I bought this truck to be a basher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

genjem

Congrats on buying a Savage! After you get your Savage, please post an opinion of what you think of it compared to your revo and t-maxx's. I only have one truck, the X, but am always looking for an unbiased/open opinion of how they all compare.

Hey thanks! A friend took them, but I am sure he doesn't care...we just take pics for fun. Save what you want.

It's the Savage X SS K4.6 kit, totally stock for now. It's so beefed up I can't imagine anything else needed except mabye some anodized shocks.

whew, geez, ok, finally got the host to work right...say, did your friend take those with a Cannon Powershot G6? That's what my Windows XP Said...if it did, I need one of those, I'm using a Pentax S4 (which is SO 3 years ago hehe).

Here's my site (and your pics)

Ya, I think it is, it has a traditional camera shape to it with a flip out screen. It takes some nice pics.

mountain of cheese- I will post my opinion after I have ran the Savage enough to get one. I will try not to compare it to the speed of my revo because it has the rb concepts .23 big block. I have had a stock one though so I will compare them and post my opinion. As of right now though it has way more power than the stock t-max and it isn't even totally broke in yet. I haven't started tuning for power yet and it already wants to lift those big tires off the ground at about 210 degrees. I have not hit second yet because it is so rich.
