I like the idea of being able to balance/charge more than one pack simultaneously. In my case it is an easy choice, I will be buying a second Cellpro 4S for that purpose since I do not use anything needing more than four cells. At the admission prices of under $70 it will still be cheaper than other single pack chargers that do not have the features of the Cellpro 4S.

Greg,

You are right, it is only that when i take a whole day off to bring to the flying field 3 or more aircrafts, more than 15 Cell Pro packs, and 3 chargers, you start loving the idea of having a multiple charger/balancer.. Also, with 6 Amps packs and the Balance Pro 6S charger it`s more like a 1.5C charge/balance rate.., are we too far to see a Balance Pro 6S charger capable of may be 15 or more Amp ?
Thanks again!

Nelson

I got my 4S charger on Friday. I charged one FMA 3 cell battery on Saturday. It worked OK. However, I was very surprised to see that the 4S charger did not even had a case! Just a transparent heat shrink, that’s it. These chargers have pretty rough life being dragged through garage, flying fields, kicked on the work benches. Without the hard case, that charger looks and feels very fragile. The time will tell.

I got mine last Tuesday. It is amazing!

While it is heat shrink wrapped, the wrap is heavy duty type. I put four stick on rubber feet on mine to prevent the bolts from wearing through the heatshrink wrap.

Regarding care of ancillary e-flight equipment, I treat all of mine with the utmost care. Most people can't believe my Robbe and FMA Supernova chargers are almost five years old each. My transmitters are even older and they look as if they are just out of their cartons, I keep everything in cases where they are protected from being accidentally damaged. My Cellpro 4S will be treated no different. I'd recommend the installation of four rubber feet mid way each side and end edges of the shrink wrap covering the PC board to protect it. The majority of flyers I know treat their equipment likewise, though there are a few who do not.

That is a very good idea. I need to find some arround and install them as well.

Thanks,

I got mine at Radio Shack. They are about 5/8" square and 3/8" tall.

It appears that the Cellpro to TP/PQ adapters have been very popular and sold out. We expect to see them back in stock in about 2 weeks.

We are also coming out soon with other Cellpro accessories like a 36" Cellpro charging extension cable that plugs between the Cellpro charger and battery pack for charging in the plane and a Cellpro "Y" adapter that allows you to charge while keeping the DPM connected.

I am waiting for one of the adapters and the 36" cable since I charge "all" of my batteries (regardless of chemical composition) inside a surplus ammo box.

Greg,

Would it be possible to rig up a Y-harness so I could charge (2) 2-cell packs simultaneously?

Keith,

While technically possible, it is not a mainstream need by most customers. We have found that the majority customer base wants a plug-n-play solution. With that in mind, buying a second Cellpro 4s charger is a more common solution.

Nice thread but man, can someone post the price or a shortcut to the websight that sells these,
Ambigously frustrated, no price no place to buy.

Scott,

I first laughed when I saw your post but your right. When this thread was started back in February, there was no place to link to for Cellpro products. Here you go!

Qban,

Thanks for your links too!

Greg,

Would it be possible to get a wiring diagram so I can solder up my own harness? I discovered that a 2S pack really makes my son's electric buggy move and would like to charge both 2S packs simultaneously. . .

Keith,

Yes, we supply a hardcopy wiring manual when you purchase Cellpro pigtails. The manual is also available for download in PDF in the pigtail product page above, our Download/Support page, or right here.
