Steering trim stoped working before....today the throttle trim stoped working!? what do i do?

How long have you had your rig??

There have been some probs with the controllers and if you got it not too long ago you should contact Redcat....they have been replacing the controllers.

by the way..if i was to buy a aftermarket 2 ch remote like a futaba with the same freq. could i use it alone...or would i need a new reciever?

Usually the remote comes with a receiver...

I'm not sure if Redcat has changed to a different/better controller yet or not...

Your best bet is to do what I did and go buy better electronics...(I did that before I ever even started my buggy)...you can get a good system for 150-200 dollars....I went with a JR racing XS3....awesome setup for 200 bucks...

Even if you spend the extra money on new electronics you will STILL be way below the cost of a lot of the name brand cars and trucks out there.

The receivers are all the same size so it will fit.

can you use your stock servos or do you have to buy compatible ones i looked at a futaba remote with reciever for a sweet price will it work without new servos? thanks

by the way will i be ok without trim for a while? i guess i could recenter the servo with the servo arm for a while untill i get better electronics. thanks

Yeah...it should work with the stock servos...however...servos really aren't that expensive...

As far as using it until you get new electronics...I guess I would hold off using it just in case you have even more probs...you don't want to take a chance on losing control and having a run away.

its all been fixed for a long time......i bought a fm futaba controller with a better steering servo......works like a charm....sence then i have entered my redcat in many races and also clocked it in at 74.5 mph........great custom rig!!!.....Thanks Guys!!!!
