I gave up on the idea of a muffler adapter/extension for the Dago--finally just rotated the engine cylinder 15 degrees off vertical (from the inverted position) to put the muffler just above the left wing.

I would like to know what change I would see if I were to use the shorter 90LX muffler on my 90L.

Im glad you got the installation worked out. Usually rotating the engine like that ends up being the best solution, although sometimes not the easiest.

The LX muffler swap will get you another 300-500 rpm on the top end over the standard jett-stream 90L muffler... using props like 11x7, 11x8, 12x6. You have to prop the engine to hit 14,500 rpm minimum ground rpm (higher is better) with the shorter LX muffler.
