Status: offline 		I picked up a used 'stik' type plane with an Enya .49 X motor on it (thats what it says on the side of the casing). What kind of a reputation does this motor have?

Status: offline 		The Enya 49 was one of the most underrated underadvertised motors in the Enya line. Shame that they are handled by Altech as they do nothing to sell Enya motors in this country. To the 49 it was a little heavey but is almost unbreakable and has one of the best idles in the motor world. If the one that you have hasn't been hamhanded and is in decent condition you are in for a treat.

Status: offline 		Origionally designed as a Heli engine and it was a good one. I currently have two of them, one got crashed and is WAY beyond repair. My other one is on my own design fun fly profile plane and is a great performer. I have several gallons through it and I still feel it is'nt broken in yet. 10% nitro and 20% oil is an absolute must with this engine.
All around a great engine.
