Anyone modify any of these yet? I just won 2 on ebay and was wondering what could be done to them. I figure the plastic, wheels,tires,and guys wre worth the price. Anyone think a person could convert to gas? Will t-maxx shocks really work?

I got them today. Started putting tire foams in the tires. Should be an interesting project....

I think now I will finally quit being lazy and add my 2 cents in on this atv and start contributing a little more on these. #1 Great sight #2 You guys are great I have a good time reading and learning everyday! Enough of my blahh blahh .Hey Guys I am finally going to post a little info about this Radio Shack ATV. I have been messing with this Atv for a while & I have to say its not a bad little toy I have managed to get this vehilcle to a top speed of 22mph on 2 3300Gp Battery packs in a seies for 14.4 volts . I know you are going to say that i will fry my electronics well folks I can honestly say that its going on 6 months & this little **** has shown no signs of probblems I think that this particular Radio Shack Atv is built with a higher /stronger board b/c it flys. I have also glued the tires/foams and have lightened it up as much as possible while still looking cool . The Rider on these things is too big /heavy so he was replaced buy a smaller version rider Needless to say I am happy for spending $70 on this and getting 22mph. The thing about this ATV is it is useing a 550 motor Johnson/ Marbachi and the torqe is awesome with this only with the running of 2 packs.

I'd like to see where you put the two battery packs also. I got one of these Rat Shack quads on a whim, for my 3 yr. old son to run along with my HPI nitro quad. I also was surprised by how well it ran, even on some old 2000mAh nicads I had around. I was also toying with putting one of my 7.4 lipos in it to see what that would do.

I used double side tape to mount the battery packs to each side of the of the ATV . I took off the cheesy plastic motor panels the front plastic pieces in the front where the front lights went. The batteries fit perfect right under the legs of the driver. I use the Ricky Carmichael Driver man b/c he is alot lighter and looks better than that Big Goof Blue Diver. I copyed the exact look of the HPI Nitro ATV & Discarded alot of the useless plastic junk that the ATV dosnt use and weighs it down As far as connecting the 2 7.2 Volts Batt together I Just made a adapter that supplies 14.4 Volts to The Standard 7.2 Volt Tamaya Plug

Hmmmm... sounds cool. I think I'm going to throw some foams in my ATVs tires, then do a dual 3300Mah pack (in parallel for run-time) and then swap out the cheapo springs for something heavier duty. Anyone know if they can take T-Maxx springs? Otherwise, my son and I both love the Quad...

Hmmmm, unless you used that as a receiver pack, and you were running Nitro... I don't think I want to recreate that. I was wondering if anyone here as replaced the electronics on the bike? Does it have it's own servo (where I can attach it to a JR R135 receiver? I would like to get rid of the stock electronics, as my son has destroyed the antenna on the current radio.

I have one of these and I stripped all of the electronics and put in a dynamite tazer and a 19 turn, but it dindnt make go much faster than stock. i would recomed a motor with lots of tourqe like the lrp big block or brushless. the servo will bolt in where the stock one does

Does anyone know where I might find a battery cover for the YZF ATV from Radio shack? or any parts for that matter. Thanks!

HELP! We have on of these too but lost the remote. the sticker on the quad says channel 3 but cant fins a 27mhz transmiter / crystal combo to get it to respond. does any one know what frequency thes are on? Thanks. I realy dont have the $ to but a new radio system in it
