Status: offline 		Yes I did. They were too large for RCU to accept. Unfortunately RCU doesn't tell you the reason for not accepting them.

I resized them to 800 x 600 pixels and they uploaded fine. The free program that I used is called Irfanview. It can be downloaded here: http://www.irfanview.net/

What size Waco is that it is hard to tell the size being pictures are deceiving, but it is a very nice bird it is ashame to see such a nice airplane and it hasn't had it wings stretched by the wind. It be the same as clipping the wings on a bird to keep it grounded, just wasn't meant to be.

Status: online 		Ken how is your covering going?
I had to work this weekend and get the yard work done but I am going to work on the Waco and watch the race today, I don't miss the Taladega race for anything. Anyhow I have one bottom wing panel ready to cover all well as the tail surfaces. I still have alot of work to do to the fuse to get it ready to cover. I need to add another layer of fiberglass to the tail cover also.

Status: offline 		I'll make a few pics as I go. Here is a tip if you who are using Minwax Polycrylic. I have noticed that after I have put the first coat on the wood that it soaks in somewhat as it dries. Some microscopic wood fuzz forms. I let this dry completely before sanding lightly with 320 grit wet/dry used dry. The next coat doesn't fuzz the wood. I now recommend 2 coats before ironing the polyester down.

I'm a long way from covering, but am following the threads on Minwax. I built two with Sig covering. One I painted with gloss house paint. I wasn't happy with the flat appearance. Another I tried to dope. Used an airbrush with house paint. Worked but not well. Unable to use it for dope. Could not get it to spray without plugging. So I hand painted. Looked so bad I tore covering off and applied Ultracoat. Do you use a regular compressor and spray gun?

Status: offline 		When I spray I use a metal touch up gun and air pressure set at 45 psi. This time I will probably just spray from the rattle cans.

I think your planes look really good.

Status: online 		I use an HVLP gun with Latex, I thin it out approx 40% with windshield washer fluid and add Floetrol. I use Behr Semi-Gloss Latex.
I think I was spraying with 30psi.
