Here are a few pics of some of my old skool rides. The first one is a PB Sizzler Pro-10(new assembled), second one is an RC10 built entirely out of NIP parts to resemble the 90-92 worlds car, and the third one is a rare Horizon TQ10 with Andy's arms, Parma HD tie rods, and Houge BB steering.

Quick update on the Mini Mustang:

Finaly got around to rebuilding the front shocks yesterday, without replacing any seals as they look pretty good after all. Found that they had some tubing on them to limit the travel, which I have no recollection of doing at all! Took it off and put them back together, but I don't have any shock oil, so I used "3 in 1" oil, which I think is too thin as there is very little damping action now. What I do have though is more suspension travel on the front, which does appear to help things along. I also wanted to do something about the twitchiness of it - it has been very hard to keep it in a straight line without the back end whipping round at the slightest steering correction. A quick look at the setup guide on this forum suggested that I should toe the rear wheels in a bit to help stability, so that's what I did, and during the run today, it did seem more stable.

Anyway, some pictures. Not brilliant, but then it is not easy trying to operate a camera and drive and I was using a new mode on the camera, but you get the idea...

Actually, having some trouble with the pictures at the moment, so I'll post them separately later.

Colin

Hi everyone, I just came across an old rc10 in a friends basement the other day and I fell in love with this thing. Its sort of dirty and needs a few things, but it has much potential. I also happen to have a fairly mint Royal Crusher that I bought at a yard sale about 5 years ago, a grasshopper II, and an old beat up rs4 mt. I never really realized that other people actually still follow and use the old stuff. Can anybody tell me where besides ebay I may be able to find parts for the rc10, the grasshopper II, and the royal crusher. I love these things and I think its time to clean them up put them back together like they were when they were new.

Here's some pics of my old Tamiya Hotshot (1985), Kyosho Vanning (1986), and a new build 1987 MRC Acoms Excalibur Hawk boat, which I know isn't a buggy but since it was put out by the same company that owned Tamiya and made components for cars back then, I felt it was a noteworthy addition. I recently restored both cars; the Hotshot has full ball bearings, an original Techipower motor, and a Duratrax ESC.

Seeing that beautifully restored vanning made my heart stop for a second. As a child, that was my dream toy, I would have given just about anything for one, but hell I couldn't even afford an entry level electric grasshopper back then...
