Erich Reichert is hosting a Vintage National Championship race at our track Radio Control Hobbies & Raceway in Waterbury, Ct. September 5th - 7th. More information availiable at rc10talk.com.....2008 Vintage Nationals

Check it out guys!

I know some people going to this Vintage Race.
The brushless motors they allow is the 13.5 and 17.5 with Lipo
I sure wish it was closer so I could attend it.

I can read that it came with a 1200 nicad back then. Never seen a Rocky in a long time.
Nice piece of kyosho's history.

Found another Tamiya Avante on Ebay a few days ago still in the box for $1,500
People will actually pay that much for a vintage. I was like wow!

It's probably already sold by now.

The original RC10 buggy is still my favorite vintage of all.

I got a Losi JRX-2 that I inherited from my dad. (Pictures in my gallery). I love it and find myself going back to it every now and then to take a break from nitro. Still run all the original electronics. Nothing modern on it..pure love.

edit:

I've always wanted to start a vintage club-type race for the old buggies.

only ROAR legal 27 turn stock motors and the 17.5 brushless motors are legal.

13.5 brushless in not legal, just making sure the info is accurate.

Here is a video of me running my 17.5 powered vintage RC10 Team Car against the amateur 4wd open motor class...
