Reviewing the safeness of 3M spray adhesive for foam. If and when I find the link, I will bring it here.

ORIGINAL: linkadrip

I have 3M Super 77 Multipurpose adhesive spray i havent used it on any foam yet. So i should test it out on some foam before using it or just go and find the minwax polycrilic spary and treat the foam then i can use the 3M adhesive without any worry of melting the foam.?

This 3M Adhhesive spray should NOT hurt any material that is is sprayed on, definately not foam. This is regulary used by most foamie builders for skinning their planes. If it won't hurt foam then. it should not hurt any styrene, or any plastics either. Good luck, and keep us posted( and with pics if possible). take care, Scott

ElectricFlyGuy -there are two types of 3M spray glue. The one available inside the US WILL eat foam. There is no doubt about this. Outside the US in some countries the old 3M can is still available and does not eat foam. Always test. This needs to be clear or someone will make a terrible miss of there foam.

WOWOW, That is really neat Ian. Sign me up for one! I know you want to see pictures of my 777. Ill get them soon, but That model looks so scale. Amazing work. Ill take one for sure! I better finish building my 307 before they start putting up buildings in my flying field. I have purchased all of Ians kits. Really like the technology. Great stuff. Wish I worked as fast as Ian, id be flying by now.

Hello Kaltag

Thank you for the very kind comments.

The 309 maiden is complete. A few circuits because of a trimming problem, but otherwise handles well. The C of G was very close to spot-on. Rear retract units handled take-off and landing well, although there was no gear up in the flight because of the trimming issue.

A pre-production price offer now on website.

Video to follow.

Ian.

Hello Ian

I was wondering if you will be replacing the 301 with a much bigger version like you did with the 303 and 307

At stage I am afraid the answer is no. If I ever were, probably be tempted to do the classis version -the 200 series with low mounted engines.

Ian.

Cheers

Still pretty busy here with the 309. Not quite sure what the future holds.

Ian.

Fair enough just thought i would mention it because all your models resembel boeings as 301=737 303=777 305=learjet 307=777 and 309=dc-10 and i thought it might be nice to see and airbus in the mix aswell. Also i was wondering if Larry Lewis had fixed his 307 after that first flight crash.
