Status: offline 		Just got off the phone with Steve Kaluf. He informed me the Q40 CF prop rule passed. Effective 2003 the APC 7.4 x 8 prop will be legal with no sanction deviation necessary.

I would like to thank all those who lobbied hard for this rule change. I personally believe it is a good thing and will help attract new Q40 pilots and keep more of the remaining ones. Thanks again.

Personally, I am happy with this decision.

I assume that the JR Gold Cup in Phoenix will now allow both woodies and the 7.4 x 8 APC cf. ??? Perhaps Jim Allen could comment.

Barry, can you post the exact wording of the rule that was passed? I am assuming it is a STOCK 7.4 x 8 APC ??......

Also, many "thank you's" to you and others for carrying this torch.
I think it will help Q40 - not hurt it. IMHO

I will try and get exact wording tomorrow but you are about correct. Yes the CF props along with wood will be permitted at the PHX JR.
