I got mine fixed yesterday (the broken inner rim) and now it won't stop raining!!! I want to finish my breakin...

I did get the body painted though. I just did a quick rattle can job because I really dont like the stock body. You have to make it look like swiss cheese to get it to fit. I am going to order a few HPI 150mm bodies to try out.

theboom - as far as top speed XRay claims 50+ KM/H so that is what around 40ish? I believe it too. I have not finished break in and mine feels really fast at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Once I am done with break in I will strap on the GPS and do some speed test. Should be Sunday or Monday...

Ok no problem. I will figure a way to set up the cam out side and get some vids .. I dont have a tri pod but I can set it up on something. You just may have to point me in the direction of some where to host the video.

Irish ... I was looking at your web site yesterday... I may be in contact with you soon for some decals and such. Good site. I bet your business does well. Do you have a big shop? I am up in Chicago 3 to 4 times a year for family visits and such. So I guess we are going to have to race on my next trip. Should I start the trash talking now???

Pretty cool little car! According to an article I read, Xray claims about 31mph top speed. I watched the video Xray has posted on their website, and this little bugger really screams...

http://www.teamxray.com/nt18/index_high.htm

I saw these at the WRAM show yesterday... almost got one, but then I had to bring myself back to reality... I like the 1/18th cars/trucks for their indoor driveabilty, so I'd be better off getting an M18 with a CC Mamba & LiPo setup, or upgrading my Micro RS4 with such a setup. These are very cool little cars, though... I might talk myself into one yet! One guy at the show had the micro starter box too.

Jeff,

Dont waste your money or time on HPI boidies. There are only 3 that have the possibility to fit:
BMW - I bought it - WAY too narrow.
Corvette - I have it on my NT18 now - roofline too low - gotta cut a lot of holes
Vioer - Not tried it yet - but will likely fit like the corvette.

Actually of the 3 bodies I have tried so far - the stock body fits the best - the roofline is about the same as the corvette. But stock is just a little wider.

Haven't tried the proline Mazda - but with its high roofline - cooling head will likely fit without cutting. Just not sure of its width.

Can tell you the Sierra truck bodies are way too narrow.
