Nice looking work JM

Man I have been having so much fun with my Flipper.
Ive been standing on the top of this huge hill and flying it.

I can actually fly waste high (to me) yet still have about 8' of ground clearance in some places.
I have been practicing extreme slow rolls around myself. trying to become at 1 with the necessary rudder imputs.

I'm flying sort of slow in a pretty good alpha. I do it best rolling to the right while turning left. but Im trying to practice it both ways.
This plane is a year old now and has gained a little weight and performance is a little diminished, but not too bad.

I will try to get my son to video it next time...... its just the winds are lightest right before dark, the worst time to video!

thanks. In a little bit, (when i'm done with my "homework" i will post pics of how the plane is progressing so far.

3/4oz FG leading edge
carbon spars
Minwax polycrylic coat on wings
Glassed tail

And much more.

Pecan pie, I didn't know you are 16 feet tall!

here's a few more pics:

I plan to glass the center section where the wings are joined, and the hole in the wing is for a hard point. (nocite that the spars are sticking into the hole)

well, that's the good thing about flat foam planes. You can probably make another one in a weekend.

Pecanpatch, the Airspeed AS.31 is interesting. Do it. I like acft that appear as if they have no chance of flying.

Photohike,
I have actually repaired the Flipper and plan on being at SEFF all day Saturday.
I will also have a borrowed GeoBat to fly.

Bring something to fly this year and lets hook up

For the Un-Hipp SEFF is the greatest electric fly-in in the world!
