AJ, I am sitting here looking over the plans for the Mugi tonight. I d/l'ed a video to watch it in action. looks like I might like this one. My only prob is I don't have electronics avail for another plane right now. Well, I guess I could use the SD rec but don't really want to.

The VTO needs another motor stick repair. I tried it one more time with the 9x6 prop and the 9.6/1000 nimh. Tried it from upright position on my back porch just to see if it would lift off. It didn't leave the surface but managed to work it's way off the porch and snapped the balsa. I want to get my 1147 prop on it with the 7.4 lipo before I give up on it. But I want that Mugi pretty hard right now.

What other plane are you considering? I am expecting a photo of the F-15 soon.

Any plans for the LHS? I forgot to order a 1260 prop.

Chris,

I'm far from being an expert, but I would like to see you enjoy your Nasty as much as I do.

Does your radio have dual rates? I'm thinking the throws are just too radical to get her in the air and trimmed out. I'm flying mine at 50% and haven't ever turned them up to 100% yet. If no D/R maybe consider adjusting the control rods to inner holes on servo and outer holes on horns.

Flew mine this morning on the 11.1 lipo. Holy Cow! Vertical as long as I can hold it straight. No more circuits around the field to gain altitude. Upside down, inner loops, outer loops, etc. etc. etc. Flew for prob 10 minutes and then I did get a little too close to Mother Earth and snapped the motor and nose off but with some quick gluing and I will be up again! I wasn't even upset about the minicrash because of what I was doing in the air prior. Came home with a smile. This bird rocks!

Aj and anyone else intersted in building a Mugi from scratch,

Here are the plans converted to good ol' American inches. And here is the Mugi web page for detailed instructions on building the Mugi...

Chris,

I am truly sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what the problem was. You say it is now garbage? I sure would like to know what the issue was. Hate to see you move on without a good flight on this build.

I'm considering another Nasty to improve on the building techniques, applying what I have learned so far. And my paint is peeling alot now. Looks like crap, flys like thunder.

Chris, any ideas what you might try next? You ARE gonna build another one, right?

Ok String,
I was able to send one PM to you. There are 3 files I use for the decals. I was able to send you the stars I think. It would not let me PM another one. Said it was too short of time. I will send more as I can. Let me know if you get anything... Sent 2 files I can not Email because there is no way I see to attach a file. Sent 3 files. Let me know how they look, Down sized them so I could send them.
