I have nothing bad to say about the truck. I love it. It runs like a raped ape and takes a pretty good beating. If I had to say something bad about it I guess it would be that it came with a pullstart. (what can I say...I'm lazy)

Get it...love it.

Also the front shocks are mounted so that they soak up more bumps, not good.

Ok hold on here a second. So far I have only seen one minor negative item listed as to why not to buy the 18ss. As a savage owner, I would say that the savage is a great truck. I bought a 25 as my first nitro truck and I have to say it has been a blast. My son bought a nitro rustler and shortly there after bought a savage 25. Having praised the savage much, and enjoying the bash-ability of the truck, I now crave more speed with some minor bashing ability. I too am considering add the 18ss to my car line-up. It sounds to me like you could not go wrong with the 18ss. I can tell you that I absolutly love, love, love my savage 25. I know that this does not help you one way or the other, but just to let you know that there is a savage owner looking at a 18ss...

It's a great truck. for $200-250.00 it can be yours off of EBAY. otherwise I think it's like $350.00 or so in LHS. Many hopups from the MT2 allready installed and is ready for OS .18cvrx without further upgrades...just drops right in when your ready to upgrade your powerplant (not like it needs it right away) The 18ss nitro star Outlaw is a fast little engine. Aluminum or carbon fiber hopups available for everythng. I'm considering setting it up for racing. It would make a great little racer for the 1/10 scale. The Dirt Bone tires are pretty much same tire as proline bowties...great track tire.

Check out the video... http://www.hpiracing.com/index2.htm

now...stop stalling and go get your 18ss

Tower has the kit in stock. I just ordered mine last night. Now, the bonus is that on orders over $199 you get free ground shipping and they have a coupon code "011KK" to get an additional $30 off the price. The total on mine came to $299.00. I know you can get the 18ss on ebay a little cheaper, but with shipping and everything it works out to more. I think that the free shipping and coupon code expire on the 28th. It's worth checking into.
