Proposed Rez No.18 - ZD's Expenses: (summary)

BC suggests that each ZD's expenses follow a formula that would see them have access to an amount equal to $3.00 X the amount of registered members in his/her zone taken from the previous year's totals.

This formula would have a minimum amount of $2000.00 and a cap of $4500.00.

Uless it has changed, I believe (but stand to be corrected) that currently, it's a $1500.00 flat rate for each ZD for zone related expenses. Mostly this was used to cover some of the travel costs of getting to events/meetings within the zone and obviously we have some huge geographical differences. Our zone, for example, would take you in the neighbourhood of 11-12 hours to cross...... laterally, on a one-way trip.

I'm not sure I understand why you would base the amount on membership, unless this is also meant to help fund zone promotion?

I do think some minimum is needed for some of the smaller zones with geography to contend with.
