That's similar to the way my antenna looked, but there were no holes.

Integra, can we get away from the bumping and deleting issue and stick to the topic?

pretty funny, l got a better one than old kurts but, lm finding it hard to believe none of you have seen this trick before, its as old as the hills, and YES on AM radios it can still interfere, on FM it doesnt tend to be so bad, putting your recieving wire on or close to ANY metal surface has the immediate potential for interference, chassis, or spring, its a risk even if small.
They look neater if you use a tightly wound spring of soft rating, but, the more metal in the spring the greater chance for servo interference.

You can buy plastic springs very similar to this, about 3 inches long and 3mm wide ish, not as strong, but look the part and never interfere.

Personally l find electrical tape the best, you can wrap it pretty thick if you need too, a dab of silicone can work wonders too, its rubbery and flexible, very good stuff, not to discredit the thread starter though , who took the time to inform some who obviously have never seen this before, l just dunno if its the best thing to be doin, especially if you drive in built up areas where theres alot of powerlines, tin sheds, tin fences or the like.

Anyways lm off for a can l carnt !

Does anyone here know what a 'can' of ''l can l carnt'' is ?
