OK2fly,

I haven't had a chance to run it yet as I have been working. It will be a couple weeks before I get a chance. As far as the balance on the Showtime goes, it balances like it on a teator -totter. When I first did it it was a little too tail heavy so i moved one of the batteries forward just a tad and now the nose dives and it snaps really bad when you give any up elev. The guy I bought it from had put a TON of epoxy around the landing gear area. I'm thinking because of the amount and how close it is to the CG that it is effecting the way it balances. Not sure though, just a hunch..

Shane

The snapping thing is a whole 'nother issue, but I hear ya on the balancing.

G'day all, just a little heads up! I'm running Adam's BCMA 26 with the WT433 carb which powers the 40. The figures I'm getting are; 7400rpm on a Xoar 17x8 prop . This engine is running spot on. It powers the 70 inch quite well. I'm very happy with the results . I'm going to try a 18x8 for more 3d action. I'll let you all know how it goes!

Cheers, Shane

I think I actually found the problem, one of my servos in the tail was dieing out and wasn't pulling the same as the other one. Hopefully it will take care of that, it was fine before.

I have a USL with the BCMA26 with two gal of 30 to 1 thru it. Flys really nice, will go vertical. I used a MAS 16x8 and get 8200rpm. Idles at 1800 rpm.

Changed second two gallons to 40to1. Had to slightly lean carb, less oil on stab.

Today I put a velocity stack (angled cut) on it and the rpm dropped to 7800, leaned it out and got my 8200 rpm back, flew better with better vertical. No oil on the stab now.

Changed props to a APC 16x8, rpm dropped to 7800, adjusted carb high side and got 8100rpm, flys GREAT, goes vertical until you can't see it!

Love the BCMA26, perfect fit for the Ultra Stick 120 Light.

Hey bolkow! What oil are you using? Since switching to Penzoil at 40:1, oil residue has been all but gone with my 40CC.

Sounds about right on RPM that what mine was getting i put a 15X8 on it and now it gets up to 8100 rpm but i think alot has to do with the altitude here of 4000 feet. its hard to get any small engine to tune well here the barometric pressure here has alot to do with it as well. But i'm not getting the thrust i want with the 15X8 So im not going to fly it with that prop. going to goto a 16X6 and see how that works out, havent flow it with the new velocity stak yet. but should be an improvment.

That is if the wind ever quits blowing here seems like it has been blowing for a month now, if i had a glider or sloap flyer i could fly everyday.

If the engine is new it will take some time for it to break in as i run mine the rpms are getting better and tuning is better..

I am using Klotz oil, at 40 to 1. I used Craftsman oil to break in at 30 to 1.

Guys. I need to pick some brains. I am having trouble with one of my 26's. I get it started, it runs great for about 5 minutes and then the engine starts lurching. I've been through the setup of the needlles from scratch, cleaned the carb screen, checked the diaphram, and am just out of ideas. I am running it with an XOAR 16x8, getting 7500 RPM. This engine has about 1-1/2 gallons through it.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jesse
