I have a trex 450 se and am flying it fairly well. My set up is JR G410 Gryo, Castle creations Phenoix 35 ESC, and a JR 6102 radio. I am not getting enough control imput to get proper 3d moves. Does anyone know this set up or the radio and can help me get this heli set up right.

are your pitch curves maxed out? 0@low - 100@high?
what pitch range are you getting?
what is your cyclic pitch?
CCPM mix %'s maxed out?
what hole on the servo arm (& what servos)?
headspeed?

thanks for the reply

servos are at last hole (furthest out) head speed is about 2200 , don't know much about setting the pitch curves and cyclic pitch (I do know there function) just don't know how to set it on the radio. as far as the ccpm %s do you mean swash plate throw or individual servo through? my swashplate throw is at 80% but looking at it it travles from top to bottom stops. my servos are at 125%.
don't want to seem completely lost but it is the first time i have set up a heli and with a new radio am unfamiliar with.

thanks

Pete

i would go to your lhs and have someone show you how to set that up. i work at hobbytown and i got the airplane guy to show me how to do it. if you see done you will have better luck than us trying to walk you through it with no visuals.

THANX FOR THE RESPONSE

I RAISED MY SWASHPLATE CCPM %S UO FROM 60% TO 100% AND THAT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. HELI IS NOW FLYING WITH HOT IMPUTS. NOW I JUST HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE IDLE UP MODE (STUNT MODE) PITCH CURVE DOES ANYONE HAVE AN EASY WAY TO DO THIS?

THANX
PETE

wait a sec, you cant just max it out like that. you have to make sure the swashplate mixes correctly at the endpoints. i would think that at the farthest hole + 100% i would definitely be binding the swashplate up and getting unwanted collective in the cyclic response.

the easiest way to setup all those curves is to fly in idle up mode (1 curve for ALL flight types, 1 curve for OFF/Autorotations). that means youll have full pitch range +10/-10 for everything from hover, landing, 3d, etc.

I have a problem with my trex 450, i bought a v2 and i put all my electronics from my walkera 60, everything seems to work fine beside the fact when i move my right stick to make the heli go forward it moves backwards. I have the walkera 0701 radio. my servos are 9g from esky. and the rec is a 701,

Bro, watch the Finless Bob CCPM 1 and 2 video's over at helifreak....you will learn a ton! Also watch the curves video's....hell, watch ALL of the video's!

If you want faster response on ail/ele for flips/loops/rolls etc. then you can do a lot of things. Move your flybar weights farther in towards the head or completely remove them. Increase your cyclic pitch, etc. Check the vids!
