Mine will be here FRIDAY... wish we had some more info on the 60. Someone with some experience with it. My brother bought the 36 last week and cant seem to get it more than 4 inches off the ground. Look like he didnt do his research, bummer for him.

Thanks

Argos,

I may get mine Friday also. I can hardley wait.

Maybe your brother should check the pitch with a pitch gauge and the rotational plane to make sure the blades rotate on the same plane.

Then try adj the PLT or PIT.

But then again, he is pretty safe at 4 inches if he is new at it.

I'm going to the Local Hobby Sore (LHS) to get training gear at lunch today. I'll be ready.

He is new to helis as am I. I have 15 years experience with planes and can make them act like Helis so I hope I do as well with this new toy. I have heard it is like starting all over again, I need this. Pretty bored with all the 3d planes, cameras, bomb droping, etc. This should be a lot of good fun. I cant wait. Anyone have anything more to say about the Walkera 60???? We need input!!!

Must be nice to have a LHS, I live out in the middle of nowhere. The town has 11,000 people and no hobby store for 100 miles all is UPS and USPS. eeekkkk!!

Thanks

Argos,

I just received my two #60 helis.

I am charging the Lipo's now.

I'm gonna try the LIPO/Brushless combo first,
maybe by the time I am done with it tonight my brushed version will be ready,

maybe I will go out to my car and grab its battery, yeah, then both would be ready.

The blades looked about the same size as the walkera 22E blades but I did not look that closely. The tail boom is much thicker around.

I can hardly wait to get home and check em over and fire em up.

Jd,

Let me know anything about it, take some pictures if you can. If you fly it tell me what you think. I am sure I am not the only one waiting for your response. I am so jealous wish I had mine.....

Were did you order yours, did it come with more blades, training gear, did you order the extra motor or did they just replace the original one and you only recieved one. Questions I had but didnt ask HOBBYJAPAN2000.com.

Thanks

Argos,

I can take some pics.

Yes I have extra blades and training gear included. I think I posted what I paid on here. $189.99 brushed and 249.99 brushless and total with shipping $485.00 ($45.02 shipping total). They gave me a discount on shipping because I am a repeat customer. The blades are the same as the walkera 22E blades I'm positive but one last look when I get home. I had ordered some parts for my 22E from them and they came with the #60's and included in the order were some 22E blades and all the extra ones included (3pair) looked that same.

With the kit that was upgraded to LIPO and Brushless it just came with the lipo and brushless. The brushless and brushless ESC were already installed.

The NIMH battery came charged I think. The charger has a red and green light and when I pluged it in it went to green immediatly. I left it plugged in but I think it shuts off (stops charging) when the green light is on.

The Lipo (1900 Mah) battery took a charge for about 30 minutes and then it turned green (it came with its own Lipo Charger of course). It looks like the same charger that came with my Walkera 22E that came with a Lipo (1200 Mah I think).

I will use my higher speed charger on the 1900mah when I am at home though. I will charge at 1.3 or 1.9 Amps depending on which charger I use. The one they sent charges at 1 amp, it would take 2 hours to charge the 1800Mah battery if it were drained.

I bought mine through RC-expert.com

They looked good through the plastic, I can hardley wait to get a close look at them.

Been messing with my two new walkera 60's tonight.

one came with the mode 1 instead of mode 2 TX. Throttle on Right.

The same one had a broken vertical stabilizer. And that same one needed its boom pulled out further to tighten the tail belt drive.. And the Lipo battery doesnt fit in the helli really, so it sits out on the end and caused it to be a little front heavy.

Much more complicated TX and settings. Well I have my work cut out for me.

They each came with two sets of extra blades. And I guess the velcro thing around the Gyro is really for holding the battery. The training gear needs to be attached with wire ties cause the little locks dont work on the landing gear.

So one came perfect and one has a few problems. I wrote RC-expert so we will see what they do.

I will turn them on tomorrow. I am charging new TX batteries tonight. I didn't expect them to arrive till Friday. They just shipped on saturday from Hong Kong to California.

Weird the way the pictures came out, if you double click on them they open in a normal size for me.

WELL I WANT TO ASK ..// LETS SAY THE MOTOR QUIT FOR SOME REASON DO YOU HAVE TO SWITCH TO 3D FLIGHT SITCH TO WORK FOR AUTO ROTATION??? OR YOU JUST PLAY WITH THE THROTLE IN THE NORMAL MODE TO LAND THE HELI SAFE TO THE GROUND ( AS POSSIBLE ) ?????

I've just got this heli with the brushless motor and a lipo pack. I've tried to trim it and I cant get the rudder to operate at all. It did the first time I turned it on but no more. When I use the rudder control on the tx the gyro blinks slowly, when I stop the gyro goes back to solid light. What Im i doing wrong?
